The best Shrimp Fajita's but only at lunch during the week. I love that place! I didn't know there were so many Dallas folks here.

Well, Marci is in Kaufman, Lindsay is in Plano, and I am in Preston Hollow. A pretty respectable showing for the Dallas area. :)

There are actually a lot of DIS people in the area. They have meets on a roughly monthly basis, but we have never been to one.

You not getting anything from me. :confused3 I just checked the halloween treats and when I scrolled through the friends list you are not there, only Jennifer.

I get them i think? I just havent added anythign because i have SO much stuff on my profile!

Have far is Karen and Jennifer (bear)?

There is light at the end of your tunnel, though... :goodvibes Thursday is almost here! :yay:

Can't wait :cool1:

Robyn hope today is not as bad as you fear :wizard:

We're all still alive!!

Thanks.

Chanon & Bob did not have very good luck with service yesterday with their breakfast at Kona & dinner at Artist point, but said the service at CP was wonderful this morning!

They had their photo shoot yesterday & she said it went pretty good.

That stinks that they had such poor service. Can't wait to see their photo session photos!

Good Morning All!

Abi is home sick...I usually let the girls decide whether they stay home or not but she let it slip that the longer she was upright the worse she felt so home she is.

So I decided to stay home with her....she is sleeping now. I may go back to bed (Glynis that Seance book was so the wrong book to start reading last night:scared1: ) and then more resumes and dishes done.

Cassidy has regionals this evening....pass some pixie dust this way that they even advance. That is how bad their scores have been this year.

:wizard: for both. Hope Abi is feeling better and Cassidy and the band advance.

I booked our Segway Tour this morning! The CM said, "I hope I have something available for you on those two days." It was Kismet because we wanted the 7:45 tour on 12/22 and that is exactly all she had! :yay:

I have ham & beans in the crockpot. Usually I make cornbread, but I still do not have my oven. Any suggestions :confused3 I don't know of anyplace that sells cornbread already made lol

BJ's sells it here, but I don't know if you have that there. And it's probably too late anyway:rotfl:

Hi friends!!

We went house hunting in NC this weekend. Looked at the suburbs of Raleigh & were very happy with what we saw. So at least I feel more settled about that. We found 2 homes we liked alot but we have alot to digest as we saw 20 homes in 2 days in 2 towns (Cary & Chapel Hill).

I am glad you all had a good weekend in NC. Sorry about the ticket.

okay my allergies are driving me crazy. cough, runny nose, congestion. Virginia still has an ocasional cough. Both girls get their flu vaccine next wed. I need to call Employee health today and find out when work is giving us ours.

:wizard: that you feel better.

Can someone tell me why a person who doesn't like sauces (me) would buy Chicken Carbonara to try?

Well it sounds yummy to me, were you feeling adventurous?

Ugh My right shoulder is killing me. I don't think I did anything to hurt it, but it acts up sometimes. Usually a couple of motrin have it fixed, but not today. Maybe this respirtory thing has settled in my shoulder :confused3 In any event I'm off to work in a few minutes. Have a great afternoon/evening.

Hope your shoulder doesn't give you too much trouble tonight.:wizard:

Seems like lots of kids are afraid of fireworks. I don't love the noise, but I don't have to leave the parks because of it! :rotfl2:

Gotta love the naughty chair. Princess has a naughty mat. It is a bath mat I bought on clearance at Target. :)

Hope the shoulder feels better! :wizard:
Hmm. The website says relax BY the pool. I wonder if that means you are not allowed to relax IN the pool?

The fireworks that they missed were from MNSSHP. It's too bad they paid extra for those!

I saw on the website that it said "In addition to the regular menu", so that's cool. :thumbsup2

DS got his report card today. A's in everything except math, language arts, and reading. Those are B's. What boggles my mind is language arts and reading. He aces those subjects, so how on earth did he end up with only an 84 in BOTH classes? That strikes me as VERY strange. I e-mailed the one teacher. The other one doesn't have an e-mail on file with the office. I just find it so bizarre that he had like a 98% at the 3 week mark when progress reports came out, and then it dropped to an 84%? What on earth did he do that made his grade that low in BOTH classes? Unless there is some sort of combining of the class grades? Last year he had the same teacher for both classes but there was a separate grade for each. Weird.

Where did you see that, I looked all over.

Congrats to DS.

Ohh, can I come. ;)

Of course!!!

Jen don't know what happened, but I was able to send you Halloween candy. Its find that you don't add it, you don't even have to accept it, I just like sending it. :rolleyes1

Elizabeth and Robyn thanks for saying I could come. :)
I'd hate to see how much that ticket would cost.

Thumbs up to this new recipe:

Chicken Caesar Casserole

14 ounces uncooked dried penne pasta (2 cups)
4 cups chopped cooked chicken
1 1/2 cups creamy caesar salad dressing
1 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 cups crushed croutons
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions
Heat oven to 350°F Cook pasta according to package directions.

Meanwhile, combine all remaining ingredients except croutons and Parmesan cheese in large bowl.

Add cooked pasta; stir to combine.

Spoon mixture into foiled-lined rectangular casserole dish

Top with croutons and Parmesan cheese.

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until heated through.

Definitely not lo-cal, but very yummy!

Kevin's boss saved my sanity today by closing down the office at noon (the courts were already closed for Columbus Day).

I was confident that I could handle portraits by myself, because I packed popcorn and a movie. I figured we could get a few shots of all three kiddos and then I could set Alyssa and Matty up with the movie and focus on Noah. The only problem...the TV was broken!

Kevin wins the "husband of the day" award for deciding to join us for this expedition without my having to call him. After Kevin viewed the proofs, he took Alyssa and Matty home.

I should be able to share the pictures with you by the end of the week. We also saw the big wall portrait of the DDA celebrities, Avery and Elise. :goodvibes

Oh, and I wasn't the only one panicked about a broken TV...you should have seen the poor photographer. She was already in a frenzy because yesterday, a co-worker's appendix burst and this morning, another co-worker was in a car accident. Thank goodness corporate promised her a new TV shipped within 24 hours!

Have far is Karen and Jennifer (bear)?

Karen is in Houston which is about 5 hours from here (I think).
I am not sure exactly where Jennifer's town is, so not sure how long that drive is.

and i decided next time in dalllas (because there WILL be a next time) i am staying longer to meet you ladies, if that is okay with you :)

That would be great! :thumbsup2

DS has just been telling us more about his little adventure on Saturday night. It turns out they were LEAVING DOLLAR TREE at 8:30 PM!
They used DS's phone to call the dad and let him know they were headed back to the house. It was COMPLETELY DARK by then! And they hadn't had dinner yet! OK, no more sleepovers at that kid's house. Nice kid, obviously clueless parents who are also disorganized.

Robyn - It was either on the actual brunch menu or on the page where it said that they serve brunch on weekends starting at 10 AM. :confused3 I just wrote a lovely note to the band director informing him that DS will not be washing cars on Saturday.

UGH football vent ahead! I just found out that dallas' quarterback, tony romo, is out for 4 weeks !! i dont remember seeing the backup play--he ahsnt started since 2006--it may be interesting next week!

We were short handed at work tonight. Thankfully it wasn't extremely busy, but it was busy enough. I really shouldn't have gone in as it only took minutes before I was simply exhausted with a bad back ache. I made it until the end, but it sucked. I have tomorrow night off. I should be feeling much better before my shift on Wednesday night.

Once I got home from work I gathered us all together and we made little snack bags for our flight. Reese's peices, M&Ms, chocolate covered pretzels, peanuts, chex mix. Everyone put only what they wanted in their bags so everyone should be happy :thumbsup2 We'll grab some drinks at the airport. Our flight is almost 5 hours as we have a stop in Philadelphia that I didn't notice when I booked :sad2:

Can someone tell me why a person who doesn't like sauces (me) would buy Chicken Carbonara to try?

well, Carbonara shouldn't be too sauce-y I would think, Heidi. Did you try it?

I just sent emails to all of Nick's teachers telling them that he will be on vacation next week. Hopefully he will get his makeup work in advance. The other boys only have the one teacher to deal with and they already know. Actually Nick has told most of his teachers, but they needed to hear it from me. I told his advisor 2 weeks ago :confused3
