So she will have some time when she gets home to do any edits to her pictures.

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you will have $49.00 today.

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you will have $33.00 today.

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago, you will have $0.00 today.

But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for a recycling refund, you will have received $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily & recycle. It is called the 401- Keg.

A recent study found that the average American walks about 900 miles a year.

Another study found that Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year.

That means that, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon.

Makes you proud to be an American. :rotfl2:

Does this posting frenzy reminded anybody else of the times we would regularly have 30+ pages a day posted?:goodvibes

So here's a thought. We don't have to continue this thread to 250 pages. We can stop posting here anytime we want and start chapter 14. I'm not a big fan of 13 either, ever since I put $13 of gas in my car and then immediately broke down on my way to PA for my wedding. Should have been a sign, huh?

Maybe getting out of Chapter 13 will de-possess Marci's house!

I am game if everyone else is! :thumbsup2 Just leave us a forwarding address. ;)

ooooh, I get better miles per gallon!!:rotfl:

I am so excited. I went shopping last night and bought a built in dishwasher. For over 26 years we had had a Kitchenaid portable and it worked just perfect, but at the end, it was too much to fix so we got a Maytag portable.

I did not figure that Hal would ever want to put in more cabinets in our kitchen, so I did not figure we would need to look at built ins. Well, if he wants to install more cabinets who am I to argue? :lmao:

I got a Frigidaire that you can put things on the top rack and it knows if the correct button is pushed that it will only wash the top rack. Since it is only Hal and I, sometimes I just need to do a quick wash and now I will be able to do that. He is even going to do the plumbing and electric so in a week I will have cabinets and a dishwasher all on the opposite wall from our existing cabinets in my red kitchen!!! :yay:

Last weekend he installed the wood/laminate flooring and it looks really nice. So once the cabinets are in, I will be taking pictures. Now to just convince him he needs to take the existing cabinets and replace them too!!!!

sounds wonderful, Terry!

I forgot to comment on this earlier....it works for me...espescially now that we have posted enough here as to not confuse anybody.

Beth - I am glad you are continuing your TR and pictures. :goodvibes

::yes::

I can't wait to come back here at 10:30 tonight...

Anne Marie - Don't you want a fridge for your garage? Maybe wait to get rid of it until you guys have chosen a house in NC. My mom had a garage fridge and it was very handy! Good for canned or bottled drinks, holiday leftovers, whatever wouldn't fit in the fridge in the kitchen.

We have 2 fridges & one deep freezer....(yes I buy in bulk):rotfl:

Lunch break is over. Enjoy your afternoons and evenings, everyone. See you tonight... wherever you are! :wave2:

Colby's home from school. I made a pot of hot chocolate and we are enjoying a cup with marshmellows. I seem to be losing my voice so I hoped that hot chocolate would help. In any event it is yummy. We have a beautiful, but chilly fall day. Looking out the window we can see all the pretty fall colors and with the cup of warm hot chocolate

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

It's nice to have those moments with your kids.

I'm so happy for you. I hope he conceeds to the new cabinets all around. What a great feeling :cool1:

Great trip report Beth. Someday I would love to do a trip like that. Your report makes me realize that we will need tons of time to do it though.

Thanks! I honestly don't think there could ever be enough time, but I would definitely recommend as much time as you can possibly put into it.

My mind is working on a 7-10 day trip through New England for next summer. It most likely won't happen between our stock market losses, getting Matthew ready for college (and paying our portion), and the need to do some pretty major work around the house. It's a nice thought, though.

Also, if Laura's synchronized swimming team makes Nationals again, I'm going to need to go to Gainesville, FL in late June. That's kind of the opposite direction from New England.
