:yay: for a working new keyboard.

Testing out my new $5 keyboard. Look! It works! :yay:

Theresa - I hope it is just a puberty thing that can be fixed with some deodorant! :scared:

Elizabeth maybe he just isn't thoroughly cleaning his neck.

Sorry, but yeah we did. ;) We have 2 posters who hate the number 13 so we are trying to rush through.
And actually I was hoping for a night time posting party, but alas there were only 6 pages this morning.

OK - Theresa left a trail of breadcrumbs to our new home, but did you all have to post THIRTEEN pages while I was at work???? Sheesh!

Go next year for your birthday, you get the day free.

Next year is gonna be a weird one travel wise. Stephanie and I are already thinking we are going to love the Mouse Fest so we will probably do it again next year. BUT..........I would love to go for my birthday as well. I really like the F&W. But then, I need to start thinking about celebrating my 60th in 2010 with my family.

Decisions, decisions

Colby sounds better this morning. Nick woke up with a cold sore on his lip so I gave him some meds. Now I need to get to Kmart to restock before our trip  I have a chest cold, but at least the sore, scratchy throat has passed. Hopefully this is fast moving.

Well this morning the contractor starts taking the shingles off my moms house. Turns out when ever it rained hard (and its been raining hard a lot lately) that the roof would leak, well John went up and saw the holes, so mom needs a new roof.

Wow you guys were chatty while I was at work. I did manage to catch up though.

I have a nagging little cough, but otherwise I feel fine.

I am glad you are feeling better. Any chance you are having trouble with allergies? Both my girls suffer coughs and runny eyes in the fall and when the first heavy frost arrives, the symptoms leave.

This is the first year we've had a kid in both choir and band so we went to our first choir concert. I gotta say I like choir better than band...they are shorter concerts!!:lmao:

Abi was the only kid (that we could see)who was enunciating her words so I got the giggles on the last song. The young lady beside her moved her lips, barely, every 4 words or so. Dixie leaned over and asked if I was laughing at my kid....nope just giggling at the sight.

I am glad you mended your ways and posted pictures of Abi in her concert. Let's guess... the speech slacker is the one with the bangs over her eyes... :rolleyes1

I find that trying not to cough, makes me cough twice as hard.

I agree, but I can't cough at work which adds a huge degree of difficulty. Who wants a meal from a coughing waitress :scared:

I don't think this is allergy related judging by the shade of green that I'm coughing up :scared: (Sorry TMI )

I'm running late as usual...

Here is a little something that might help speed up the pages. I received this in an e-mail and thought it was fun. Some of the numbers were missing when I received it. :confused3

Well, I am here this morning with a lot of thoughts running through my head. Seems the economy problems are going to affect us too. I had three families tell me yesterday that unless their government contractor husband and wife contracts are picked up (and it doesn't look likely) they will have to withdraw their children. That is 7 students that I teach. It affects my monthly salary as well as the school's profit margin. If it is happening in my classes it is also happening in the other 4 teachers' studios too.

Then late last night Bob told me that 17 of the 18 designers in one of the Florida plants were laid off while we were gone. It is one of the facilities we were looking at for a possible move. Not only are we not going to move any time soon but we are now seeing some impact on large commercial construction. That is what Bob designs. Although he is not "afraid" for his job, he is concerned for his friends and we noticed a significant drop in his bonus amount this last paycheck. About $400 worth. He is paid every two weeks so that could be a major change in our finances.

We are not concerned about day-to-day things. Unless there is a huge financial crash ahead that none of us can possibly predict we are fine. But, we did talk about our Christmas trip late last night. We don't plan to cancel the trip. But I am seriously thinking about changing our resort from AKL CL to a moderate. Obviously the savings would be considerable. But all the special things I had planned with AKL IPO would be lost. This is a hard decision, and in comparison to what others in our country are facing, very minor. But it is one I am not wanting to make. I have until the beginning of November to change our minds, but I am afraid if I wait too long there will be no rooms available for our dates. aaaaack!

Thanks for letting me vent and brainstorm. :goodvibes

Back to more enjoyable topics!

:yay: for a working new keyboard.

Elizabeth maybe he just isn't thoroughly cleaning his neck.

Not bad for $5! We'll see how long it takes the letters to scrape off! (Although our old Compaq computer was probably 8 years old and all of the letters were just fine, so I think it is a flaw with Gateway.)

DS is very self-conscious so he has been showering carefully. He smells fine on the weekends, which is what I can't figure out. :confused3

I fell asleep on the couch. :rolleyes1

Hope it goes quickly! :wizard:

Sleeping Beauty comes out today! Princess can not wait to go get her copy!

 I hope that you can figure it out, and I know that either way, you'll have a magical trip!

It is very scary right now. We haven't had anyone pull from preschool for financial reasons yet, but that is something that probably would be first to go for the families that we have. (Not that I'm bringing in much, but it does allow for some special things.) Also, dh's job at IBM depends a lot on the contracts with the big financial houses. It has me a bit on edge, but there isn't much I can change at the moment in anticipation of job loss. We've weathered insecurity before, I just hope it doesn't become more than insecurity. IBM is famous around here for layoffs just before the holidays. My best friend's dh is a store manager at Sears. He makes more than a typical store manager, because of all his experience both in management and with corporate. They have concerns, too.
