DDA Chapter 13

I'm over in Ft. Worth at a HR conference. It's cooler here in Texas now -- I like that. I've had great sea bass and two glasses of wine. I'm not about to spoil my good evening by listening to those two debate. I think I'll start reading my book. Have a good evening everyone!

That sounds like a plan. There is nothing good on TV and I was trying to decide what I should do. I think that I'll go find something to read as well.

So we had parent teacher conferences for Abi this afternoon...she is one smart cookie:goodvibes Even with a couple of missing assignments in a couple of classes her grades are 89.22, 89.5, 90.51 and 94.99 in her core classes (I am going to assume choir and band are still good).

I have to make (okay cut, ball and bake) some cookies....I would be doing them from scratch but I am just tuckered!!

whoo hoo Abi

:lmao: Very funny! But I know you could do it! Are you still planning on making holiday dresses for the girls? I got some fabrics to make Emma one but some of the fabrics were backordered so I can't start it til those come. She picked out the fabrics-Scotty Dogs with Christmas presents. Super cute!

I LOVE pumpkin pie.

I am planning on making them, I just need to actually take the time to measure the girls, go buy the fabric and then lose my mind trying to actually figure out the directions.

You should come to Dallas this weekend if you like pumpkin pie. ;)

Yum! I've been craving pumpkin pie for a couple of weeks. I was going to ask Chuck to pick up some premade crusts for me so that I could make one tomorrow.

You too, pack your bags. Heidi is bringing the pie.

  Way to go Abi!!

We're watching aladin on the Disney channel. Nick is back in hugging mode. He's been high fiving us lately, but the trip is coming soon and he is in hug mode again :lmao:  Every other word out of the kids mouths has to do with the trip:cool2:

Aww, you guys are going to have a blast!!

WHAT is wrong with you? :scared1: Pack some clothes! Chop chop!

I'm all packed, well except for the stuff I can't pack til tomorrow.

Robyn - OK, you have redeemed yourself. I just hope you didn't forget anything important by packing in a rush. :rolleyes1

Marci - Sea bass is one of my favorites! :goodvibes

I still have not heard from Lindsay.

Katrina's in her room yelling at the TV. Can you tell she is listening to the debate? She likes this moderator because she says that he made them stop talking about what has happened in the past and talk about what they would do to make a difference. I can't watch it. It would drive me crazy.

We decided not to watch the debate either. It is just a freak show anyway.:sad2:

I'm in the process of painting my toe nails. Chris just went to bed.

Wow, I didn't realize that it opened just yesterday :cool1: :cool1: Chris and I are in agreement that we will have dinner there Saturday night. Shhh the boys think we'll be at Vero Beach:rotfl2:
Can't wait to hear what you think. I bet Emma would love it (except the food maybe...).

If you book AKL concierge, I want to stay with you :rotfl:
OK!!!:thumbsup2 Joe would love it! I hope to go say May 2nd to May 9th. Jet Blue hasn't opened their schedule to May yet.

:woohoo: Congrats to Abi!

Are you making T-shirt dresses? I'm sure you can do it! I still haven't tackled the patterns I bought in German.:rotfl:

They were all wonderful!!!!! I LOVE this one! You both look SO happy!!!!

My DH said he was going to go to bed and then instead put it on in the kitchen where he was and in the living room where I was.:headache: I know who I will vote for and I he knows who he will vote for (the same candidate by the way) but he gets so angry at the other guy. All I can do is vote for my candidate. I can't get too wrapped up in it. I can't wait for this to be over!!!!!!

Chanon, thanks for posting some pictures, since I haven't had a chance to check your links!

Jen, I'm sure you are relieved your evaluation is over. Great job!

Other Jen, how was the first day of Staycation?

:wave2: to everyone.

Thank you so much for all your prayers and pixie dust for my friend. I know she's going through a plethora of emotions right now, and honestly, I'm pretty shaken up, too. My grandmother was hit by a drunk driver when she was out for a walk in broad daylight about ten years ago. She was very lucky to survive. What is wrong with people?!!

I'm headed to bed. I'm still not feeling 100%, so I'm trying to grab a little more sleep when I can.

Take care everyone! :grouphug:

If you all could add my friend Barbie to your prayer lists...

She was hit head-on by a suspected drunk driver last night. The other driver died instantly. Barbie is very banged up with a broken femur. She had two of her four kids in her car, and thankfully, they are fine.

Barbie's having surgery today at 2 p.m.

Thank you! :grouphug:

done...

on a lighter note... is that a new ticker I see? Or have I completely been out of it??

We went on our college visit on Monday, and I definitely got the feeling from Matthew that "this is it." It suddenly seems so real to me. I don't know if that is just because the other visits were so long ago or if it's because I could actually picture him there. Unfortunately, it seems to hit hardest just when I'm trying to go to sleep, and then I can't get to sleep. It's a mixture of :woohoo: and :scared1: and :guilty: and :sad1:. I am proud of who he is and who he is becoming. I know that this is what we've raised him to do. I know that we have done what we could. I just think that I could have done more and wish that I could go back and do it again. And also, I'll really miss him.

 Yes, you will. It will be very hard, but oh so very rewarding to see his growth. You did well, Mom. He will succeed.

Has anyone heard any reviews on the new T-Rex Restaurant in Downtown Disney? That might be a fun place to try out. I read that no reservations are being taken at this time.

Liz was going to go there tonight (or was it last night?!?!?) when it opened. She will post a report later tonight or tomorrow a.m. when she does I will post the link, OK?

So... why is it when I get on here everyone goes away??? I feel like Theresa! ;)

Have a wonderful, safe and healthy trip Robyn!!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Have a wonderful, safe and healthy trip Deb!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Should I say the heck with the F&W and go for my birthday so I can see all the birthday surprises?? What about you Deb? Wanna go for your birthday????
