We had a great time today!

First we met Robyn, Emma, Joe, and Marci for lunch. From there we went to the Arboretum for a couple of hours. After the Arboretum DH came home to rest. Robyn, Emma, DS and I went to play mini-golf with Marci and her family. After golf Marci's DH took Andrew home to watch the UT game and the rest of us went to Applebee's for dinner. DS and I just got back from dropping Robyn and Emma off at Joe's house. And I am tired!

We really had a fun day. DS was starting to get snarky at dinner. Probably shouldn't have started his day off by walking almost 5 miles.

So today was hectic...we fed the kids twice and while they didn't make it into finals of this show their scores went up 10 points

It is 8:30 and I am just now eating....we were gone for 12 hours and I hate that because you come home so tuckered.

i had a great time too! we just got home amd are settling in to watch a chick flick--i am going to be tired tomorrow!

Noah isn't interested in sleeping at all tonight. I just put him in the swing, hoping that will lull him to crash for a few hours.

Disney on Ice was a cute show. It was the "Worlds of Fantasy" version and the first half consisted of Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald, Cars, The Little Mermaid, and The Lion King. The entire second act was Tink and her friends. It was a nice Disney fix.

This evening, Alyssa's preschool held their annual silent auction fundraiser. We won a basket of books, many of which we already had, but it was for a good cause and they'll make nice gifts.

Someone is still awake...

Jen, I hope you had a wonderful birthday today.
We went out and took my Mom out to dinner today. She is doing really well.
I feel bad though, she doesn't like it in the nursing home. I think that she is just tired of being there, and doesn't realize that this is her home now. I think seeing me and Leighanna today though brightened her spirits some.

Amy, I am glad that you like the show! It sounds like a nice Disney fix!
Tell little Noah to get to sleep!

My brother also gave me his old laptop. It is practically new. He never used it. I now can Dis in bed or wherever I want to.

Amy and Tom -- I hope you both got some sleep last night/this morning. Amy it certainly sounds like your Noah is a chip off Kristin's block. He must be a little night owl. I hope the two of you can work something out so that Amy gets some sleep! The upside of all this is that Mr. Noah will tuck you in at night in a few years.

Tom - for the new laptop and also for the news that your Mom is doing well. My Mom never admitted that she knew she had to stay in her assisted living apartment for the rest of her life. I think it is a way of denying that age and need have impacted their lives. My Mom hated it. But when presented with the possibility of moving to a similar facility here near me, she dug in her heels and would not move. for you and your siblings as you work through this part of her life together.

Debbie - you leave in 3 weeks!!!!

It's coming up quickly now, I almost hate to see it get here, that means it will be over way too soon.

I do have a question for those of you who have stayed at OKW, I keep reading that the beds are brick hard, did you find that to be the case?

I think I'll bring a pillow top mattress cover just in case, I can keep the receipt and return it if we don't use it, we have a queen bed here so if we do use it I can keep it for that bed. I hate extra firm mattresses.

We didn't find the King bed we had in the 1BR villa to be hard. The girls didn't think the sofa bed was very comfortable, though. In fact, Kathrin ended up on the pull out and Kristin slept on the love seat (which does not pull out). That seemed to give them better sleep at night and naptime.

In the one bedroom a couple of trips ago, I thought the king bed in building 18was a little hard. The beds in the GV in building 25 were great. The beds in the studio last week in building 64 were wonderful!!!
