DDA Chapter 12

:rotfl: I love seeing them try to worm their way out of things and getting busted! Emma can't think that fast on her feet.

I just got an e-mail from DS's math teacher. Apparently he hasn't been finishing his classwork. When she asks him if he would like to take it home to finish it he tells her he might lose it, so he better not take it home! Little sneak! Well, she wants him to start staying after school to finish it! HA! That will teach him to be lazy about bringing work home! I don't think he is working slowly in class on purpose, that's just how he is. But being able to worm out of finishing is about to come to an abrupt halt.

After talking with Joe, we think the play is the way to go. Jessica Simpson is performing at the fair Friday night and even though it's not til 8pm he's afraid it will be mess. So for Friday our plan is to see Tut at 11am, then get lunch and head over to AG. Then we'll do the play that night.

Joe saw the Tut exhibit last night and said it was phenomenal. His friend works for the bank that is sponsoring the exhibit so it was free. He was excited to see it so he can be knowledgeable to impress Emma.

We will have to come up with a meeting place for Saturday for brunch too!!

Crum! Now I am conflicted and I only have 5 minutes to decide which date to pick! :rotfl2:
Are you in for Race for the Cure, or undecided? We do need to decide on brunch. I am not very good at brunch if we are talking "proper" brunch with mimosas and all. Even if we aren't talking "proper" brunch I bet things will be more crowded than normal. We'll have to plan strategically! ;)

I think we'll sit the race out, only because we will be getting in late Thursday and on the go all day Friday that I don't want Emma to be exhausted and cranky by noon on Saturday.

Not a proper brunch. I am not all for that either. :goodvibes

I got our tickets for October 24. Thanks, Tia!
I guess I could have gotten them for the 17th and told the band director tough cookies, but I already had the page pulled up to reserve 10/24 and they only had 50 tickets up for grabs!

I may be exhausted and cranky by noon on Saturday. ;) Kind of depends on WHAT we are supposed to do for Homecoming (DS gets out of school at 1 PM on Friday but I have to work until 6 PM, so that's one complication.) Saturday is supposed to be the band car wash that was cancelled when Ike blew through, but DS only has to go to that for 2 hours. We'll see. :rolleyes1 He can't very well go to a car wash if it will cause him to miss brunch! :snooty: We should be able to drive somewhere by about 10 AM. The race signs warn that the streets will be closed until 11 AM, but I think that is just to cover their butts with the city. If we can't get out on the south end than we should be able to get out on the north end by 10 AM. :)

Elizabeth, you crack me up. Thanks!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Terry and my trip in December is coming along. I think we have plans down to the hour; we had to schedule in potty breaks.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

We might never see our room in the light of day. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: We have breakfasts scheduled for before park openings. Evening fireworks. Gift exchanges after the fireworks! We have lunch meets scheduled. Breakfast meets. Dinner meets. Activities onboard the ship. Before the cruise meet. During the cruise meets. Sail away party. Shore excursion. Parasailing. Spa day. Palo brunch. Breakfast in the Roy Disney suite. Pirate nite. Party after pirate night. Sipping wine and /or coffee on the veranda. Get off the boat, check back into the world, and get to the Poly for breakfast. Jump the monorail to the Contemporary. Go to the MK. Meet, meet, meet, go to the CG for dinner. The next day bright and early for breakfast (in the park by 8:00am) 4 meets. Get to HS. Dinner meet, then Fantasmic. Take boat for 10:00pm meet. Get back to Pop around midnight.

The big day! Breakfast at Cape May at 8:30am. Mousefest Mega meet. Then tons of EPCOT meets. Dinner with the authors. Illuminations dessert party. Karoke meet.

No slacking! Breakfast at Kona Cafe at 7:30 am. Capture the Magic. MK meets. Dinner at Citrocis.

On Monday I will offically refuse to leave my bed before 9:00am. We have dinner with the Stepsisters at 7:00pm. I promise to be dressed and ready to move by then.

We will have pins to trade. Matching tshirts. We will send postcards. We have to decorate two doors. You will be proud of us.

Well, I have to take my DGS to school tomorrow. Better get to sleep.:dance3:

I need a nap just from reading this! But, man, it looks like fun!!!

Home from the doctor. I have pneumonia. Got a shot of Rocephin and major antibiotics. If it weren't my grandmother's funeral, we'd be staying home. Taking the kids at 1:40pm today. BK sounds bad too. We leave tomorrow am.

Ack! Hope the meds kick in quickly for you all. Have a safe trip. :wizard: :grouphug:

No, he most certainly cannot miss brunch. I mean it's with out of town family. His band director will surely understand!

I just purchased our 3rd ticket for the play. So for $16 we are all going to the play. Not bad at all!!!

okay you all will have to wait. for pics as I need a nap. I am not sure if I am getting what the girls had or if it is a severe case of allergies. I started getting a sore throat yesterday at work. Today it feels like its on fire when I swallow, coughing and runny nose. low grade temp. so much fun. I am debating calling my Dr.

...and to elaborate on Jennifer's waiting for pics, you won't see any Photopass pics from her or Tia because they are waiting for me. Sorry!!!

Hi all! Not too much going here today. Just some laundry, basic cleaning, Terra is hibernating, you know...the usual. ;)

We've got to get to the mall this afternoon to get Terra some tap and ballet shoes. Doesn't look like Kassie's old ones will fit and there's nothing at the resale shop. Hopefully Payless has a BOGO right now so that I can get them for less there. She starts class on Monday so I've got a little time.

Jennifer - After your nap, can you email me the login info for the PhotoPass account? Thanks!! Hope you're feeling better soon!

The band director is so bad at communicating with parents it is a wonder he ever has anybody show up at anything! I am not even going to worry about the car wash. I will tell the director 1) we are doing the race that morning and 2) I have family in town for the weekend so we are simply not available to wash cars. He should appreciate that I DO communicate with him and that DS shows up for the majority of the stuff he is supposed to show up for!

DS came home yesterday with a big old story about how they might go to a competition in San Antonio at the end of May or beginning of June, and they will have a pool party at the hotel and they will go to Sea World. Excuse me? Pool parties at hotels lead to groups being kicked OUT of hotels. So he tells the kids about this trip with no dates and no cost info. At least the DC trip info came with the dates & price already attached! :rotfl2:

Yay for getting your play tickets!! I love that little theater. I wish DS would take more stage classes there, but he won't.

Oh, and this morning DS tells me his new friend is having a birthday party this weekend and DS is invited. Um, we have nothing in writing, nothing by e-mail, no phone call. DS knows what street the kid lives on, and that's it. I think DS will not be attending this party. :rolleyes1

Gotta love 12yos, eh? Rachel is always mentioning plans to "hang out" or a birthday party or whatever with no info on when, where, etc. Guess who misses out then. :confused3

Feel better, Jennifer! :wizard:

Way to hold up the parade, Chanon! ;)

I asked DS if this kid is related to the band director.

Aren't I the best! ;) :lmao:

So I have a wedding question for you guys! Our "guest book" is actually two framed matte's. We have guests that responded no to the reception but put on the response card "we'll see you at the wedding". Should I bring the framed matte's to the church to get some people to sign the mattes before the reception time? Or should I just wait and just have them do it at the reception? I do have someone to take them to the reception site after church...and I do have someone watching the framed matte table to have people sign it...
Suggestions?

If you have someone to keep track of them you might as well take them to the wedding and the reception.

Robyn - What time do you want to do brunch? Are you staying with Joe or in a hotel? Does Joe live in Oak Lawn? We are trying to sort out the logistics of Saturday! :rotfl2: What do you want to do after brunch? What time is Joe's work thing Saturday night? I am a nosey thing, aren't I? :rolleyes1

Denise, hope the antibiotics work quickly. pixiedust:
