DDA Chapter 12

We "almost" overslept this morning.
I don't think that we have ever moved so fast. Leighanna made it to school on time with a few seconds to spare! Whew! I guess I should have made sure the alarm was set.

Leighanna did get full credit for her work. She now has an A in Written Composition. So all A's and S's for now!

No more scratching or itching either! Only me when I think about it!

Have a great day DDA!

Hooray for Leighanna!!! I hope that I get good reports when I go to Parent Teacher Conferences on October 9th. Only Jacob and Katie will be getting the standard A-F grades, from K-2 they do O (Outstanding) through N (needs improvement). I don't worry too much about those grades.

I am a little worried about Katie's math grade, but I'm hopeful. She says it's getting easier for her to understand. On her last math test she missed three questions, and the teacher told her she could try doing those 3 again for half point each. She ended up doing that, and getting another 1 1/2 points, so maybe she is understanding it better.

I am sure when mom had Dawn and I out (we are 1 year and 7 months apart) that no one thought we were twins. We don't even look like sisters, even my mom will tell you that.

I remember she had my cousin with us once when shopping and the man at the ice cream counter, ask about the 3 of us. When mom said 2 were her daughters and the other a niece, he pointed to Dawn and my cousin and said thoes 2 sisters and pointed to me and said your niece.
Mom said no I was the other daughter, and he argued with her.

I know I can count on you guys so can you all spare some good thoughts and pixie dust for my sister. She went to the dr.s yesterday and her amniotic fluid is high and her white blood count is low. They are concerned because it can be a sign of infection mainly the CMV virus or a sign of diabetes, she passed her glucose screening so I imagine it's not that. She is going for blood work today but I imagine it may be a few days before she finds out anything. When she was pregnant with her first DD, who was stillborn) she had the CMV virus but it went undetected until they did the autopsy on my niece. I appreciate it.
I'm sure everyone is very worried, given her history. Lots and lots of :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: .

When I am brave enough to venture out with all the kids people just assume that they are all mine:scared1: We went to the free movies last summer when I was pregnant with Lucy, due any day actually, and I had Emma, Molly, Syd and Kate (Dana's girls) and Allyson and their was a woman from the Headstart program there. She was very insistent I take all the information on the program. I guess she'd thought I qualify!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
When we were in WDW last month I had one lady ask if the kids were triplets.

I'm sending lots of prayers and pixie dust for your sister. How scary!

Robyn, prayers and pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: for your sister!

I have the mammogram and echocardiogram today, so I'm looking for a little DDA pixiedust that it's all a waste of time and money again.

It's yours! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

I have a twin brother, but we were RARELY asked if we were twins. We just don't really look that much alike. We look like brothers, but that is it!

I remember my Mom and Dad would tell people that we were twins, and they acted amazed. I always got the comment that I must have eaten all of Tim's food, since he was always alot smaller than me.

That's the way it is with Leslie and Mary! No one believes that they are twins. When they were tiny they looked more alike, but not anymore!

Not nice! I hope you came up with a witty retort!

Sending lots of PD and prayers. I hope they get the results sooner rather than later. How scary!

Beth, good thoughts for you. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Yes -- sending prayers and PD to Beth as well.

Robyn -- that dental bill was PAINFUL... and the appt. in two weeks to start the braces for Andrew won't be cheap. I'm anxious to see how much insurance will pay -- I know it won't pay much, but even a little will help. We can wait at least 6 months, if not longer on Jake, so at least they don't start them at the same time.

I have a call in to an appliance repair guy who also does handywork. I hope he can fix the compactor, carpet, and I have another toilet out as well.

OK -- back to work for me.

Kristine, hope you have a great cruise!

Jen, have fun in Chicago!

Lots of prayers and :wizard: sent out today, too!!!
