Hmm. The local news doesn't have any local news on it. It is all hurricane coverage. It is going to take them a LONG time to get things up and running again.

And of course people are leaving to go back there even though there is no water, no power, and no gas once you get within an hour north of Houston. Not a good situation.

Can't keep my eyes open anymore! I'm off to bed. It's back to school in the morning. Why aren't the weekends longer? It's not that I want the kids around, I just want to be able to sleep in!

DS goes to school tomorrow, but I have a feeling I may have Princess home sick. Momboss started feeling sick on Wednesday, and she ended up going to the doctor on Friday. She e-mailed me about something else yesterday and mentioned that she thinks Princess is sick now.
I don't like Princess's pediatrician, and I REALLY don't like the nurse practitioner, so I don't imagine my week will be off to a stellar start if I have to take Princess in for them to look at her.

Really happy to see so many of the DDA check in. Whew. What a storm! My nephew says this is the worse rain Chicago has had in 130+ years!

Now, for Karen. I don't think she has any power. At least she has a generator for her breathing machine at night. Still really worried about her. Does anyone haveher number? I wonder if we would eat up too much of her cellphone life to call?

Vicki, I love Chuck too! 4 trips!!! I think the December one should be Mousefest. I have a really good feeling that Terry and I will be back for 2009!!!!

Morning DDA!

We are OK in NE Ohio - branches are the only thing that's down here at our house. Many schools are closed do to no power; quite a few roads are closed because trees are down and tree cutters can't get to them because they can't keep up with the storm damage. Mom lives in a campground in the summer - a few of her neighbors lost their awnings - she said it was sureal to watch, they just went right over the camper with a big gust of wind. Her awning was OK because they all sat under it holding on to ropes that they had tossed over it to keep it down.

Any news from Karen? Tom? Amy or Jennifer? Kristine?
