So Jeff and I make it to bed about 1am the alarm goes off at 6am up for showers and to Iron on the designs for the MNSSHP shirts. Now for the surprise. Olivia woke up at 7am right before I was going to go wake her up. So I asked her if she wanted to do something fun today. She said yes, so I asked her if she wanted to go see Mickey Mouse today. She gets a big grin on her face and says go to Disney World yeah, jumping up and down. Jeff got it on video tape. She runs in to our room to wake her sister up and says to her Virginia want to go to Disney World.

So off to pick up my mom so she can bring our van back home after taking us to the airport. Get to the airport around 8:30 for a 10:40 flight. Lots of families with little ones taking the same flight as us to WDW. Virginia falls asleep almost as soon as we get on the plane and sleeps almost the whole way she woke up about 15 minuets before we landed. We landed aprox.30-40 minutes early. We got to POP and in to our room by 4:30 we are in the 70’s building room 6464.

Ate late lunch/early supper at the food court and then headed to MK. Got to MK around 5:30 and it was packed, hot and humid. We rode it’s a small world first. Got fast pass for Peter pan and rode Dumbo. Then Jeff and Olivia rode Big Thunder Mountain. Jeff and I were up late the night before and then up early that morning so we decided to skip Peter Pan and headed back to the hotel so we could get an early start the next day. Get back to the room around 9:30, where we find one piece of our luggage. Call down to the desk Jeff is on hold for 15 min. he decides to go down in person. He finds out that there are 15-20 of those wire crates that the airport has sent over waiting to be unloaded. He also hears someone say they had been waiting since the day before for their luggage. Jeff tells them to bring our luggage no matter what time. Luckily I had packed Pajamas in the carry on. So I get the girls settled in bed and off after several texts to Chanon while she is at her Bachleorette party I go to sleep. The luggage arrives at 4am.

Sunday morning Olivia does not like to be woke up or get up early. So after the battle to get her up and dressed we head to Epcot where she falls asleep on the bus.
PICT0229.jpg

She refuses to go in spaceship earth says it’s scary. So we ride Nemo and play in the area after the ride.

PICT0231.jpg

Then we headed to the land. Rode the living with the land ride and then it was time to headed to Chef Mickey’s we are seated pretty much on time for our reservation. Took the Monorail to TTC and then transferred to the resort one.
PICT0279.jpg

After lunch at Chef Mickey we headed back t Epcot. Olivia decided she wanted to see People so off to world showcase to see people. We saw Snow White and Dopey, Jasmine, Aladdin and Genie, Belle by herself,

Aurora,
PICT0304.jpg

Mary Poppins and Alice, as we where headed to back to China to catch Mulan we saw the Beast had come out with Belle. Olivia refused to see him. So get to China had to wait a little and we saw Mulan and Mushu, then we found Mexican Donald. At this time Olivia wants to head back to the resort and swim. So back we go. Ate dinner at the food court at POP. We played in the pool before bed.

Monday we get Olivia up and she feels a little warm. I thought at the time it was because she was under her blanket we had brought from home. Off to AK. We get their ride the safari ride had a flamingo walking across and down the road the safari vehicle goes on, then its time to check in for Tuskar house, this is what we did while waiting

we are seated about 15-20 minutes after our reservation time. We told them we were celebrating our Anniversary this week the waitress brings out a cupcake for us, tells us to make a wish and kiss then blow out the candle. Jeff forgot to take a picture of the cupcake.
PICT0372.jpg

After having breakfast, we do the Jungle treks. Jeff gets a fast pass for Expedition Everest. Olivia says she want to see People. So off to camp Mickey we go. We see Koda and Keni, Mickey,

and Goofy. We saw Baloo while we were waiting to eat at Tuskar House. Olivia did not at this time want to see Lilo and Stitch or Terk from Tarzan. Back to the resort we go for naps. After naps which Olivia did not want to get up from, we headed to HS they were having EM hour. SO we are getting some food and it starts raining again it had rained while the girls napped. By this time Olivia is telling me she is Freezing does not want to do anything really. We tried to get fast pass for toy story but they were all gone, we did the Animation thing while we waited for the Dance party to start Olivia would not get down and dance with JoJo, Goliath or Mickey and Minnie. So we decided to leave. Get back to the Hotel and her temp Axillary is 100.9, she is coughing and has practally no voice. So we give her some Motrin. Off to sleep.

We both woke up about 6:30 or 7:00 and decided we wanted to check out and make our move to the Polynesian early this morning. We also were hoping to get into Kona Café for breakfast. So, we packed up the carry-on we had opened last night and high-tailed it out of Sports. Got to the Polynesian in good time and were first in line to check in. We received our Happy Anniversary! Pins as well as our leis and instructions to call after 3:00 to get our room number. Everything else we could possibly need was in our welcome packet.

We were able to get a table immediately at Kona Café so we enjoyed a little relaxation over breakfast at one of our favorite places.

Our quest this trip was to try to find 35 new things to eat and/or drink in celebration of our 35th anniversary. I had never had the Pineapple Macadamia Nut Pancakes here so that was our first “new” item of the trip!

For some reason the lighting fixtures caught my eye on this visit too:

Needless to say our room was not ready so we walked around the grounds a bit to get acclimated. Saw a few things that needed recorded!

Neither of us really felt like going to AK which was on the plan for the day, so we opted to go over to Epcot to see the Festival Welcome Center for the Food & Wine Festival. We traditionally start our day with a glass of champagne there so we had our second new food item of the trip: Caposaldo Prosecco :) Yummy!

We had made plans to meet some new DIS friends at Victoria Falls at AKL for drinks before dinner so we drove over there. That is only one of two times we would use our car this trip.

I had a glass of Kanonkop Pinotage and Bob had a Stella Artois (nothing new here) but we did share the Crispy Breads and 3 Dips which is item #3 in our search for new things. It was delicious! The three dips were white bean, sun-dried tomato and olive. I loved the olive, Bob liked the white bean and we both thought the sun-dried tomato one a little bland. The breads were perfect.

I finally got to meet RachelTori, DisneyBride03 and Ben'sMom (along with Ben and Mandy {friend of Ben'sMom}. We got along famously and Laura and Diana presented Bob and me with an anniversary card!

After lots of yakking and giggling we all went our separate ways for dinner and Bob and I went back to the Poly to get dressed for our 9:20 seating at California Grill.

We arrived by monorail a little early and checked in on the 2nd floor. We were taken upstairs immediately but told to enjoy a drink at the bar because it would be about a 30-45 minute wait. We ordered a drink (item #4: Twenty Bench Cabernet Sauvignon) at 9:23 and almost immediately our buzzer went off! By the time we tracked down the bar tender again it was about 9:35 and we were seated at a lovely window table. Bob and I shared the Triple Cheese Flatbread as our appetizer, eating only a couple of pieces. For entrées we had the Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Goat Cheese Polenta, Button Mushrooms and Zinfandel Glaze and the Oak-fired Filet of Beef with Boniato Mashed Potatoes, Sauteed Haricot Vert and Teriyaki Barbeque Sauce. We shared both plates and declared the food just fine. Service was just adequate too. We were too full for dessert but before Wished started one of the CMs came over and offered to take a picture of the two of us to commemorate our anniversary. When I returned home there was a copy in my email!

We were to meet some other DIS friends at Spectro in the MK at 11:00 but our diner was not over until 11:19 according to my receipt. That made me very sad, but there was nothing I could do about it so we didn’t let it ruin our evening.

We headed back to the Poly for a good night’s rest and plans for the next day already set!

Bear with me while I brag...

More than seven years after we learned our bright child has significant learning problems, (ADHD, dyslexia, verbal expressive disorder) we got his first report card...

And he got nothing below a 94!

I cried when the e-mail came in, I guess with relief that we made the right decision for him. I know my Mom must have an extra big smile right about now as well, as she took a big part in Andrew's schooling, grandparents day, picking him up, meeting his teachers. I guess that's another reason I'm so emotional. I also know this is only the beginning of what will be difficult years leading up to high school graduation, but I'm thankful that he's doing well now.

I can't imagine what I'll be like when he graduates...

Marci, CONGRATS to Andrew!!
I guess we'll see what the next few weeks bring for DS. This is the last day of the marking period. I think he is doing OK in all of his classes, it's just that 30 minute lunch that is causing problems. :sad2: If he would just sit and EAT he wouldn't be in trouble. I know he only takes 2 bites of his food and then rushes off to play.

I have no idea, but I bet Elizabeth knows. ;) :cutie:

Actually, I don't know. I know you can ADD the DDP to a room only, but I don't know how that works in reverse. Sorry!

I hope you have a wonderful time in December there, Terry!

CG used to be our favorite onsite restaurant until we had an horrible experience on Christmas Eve 2003. Because the issues were never resolved we swore we would not go back for a very long time. I guess we figured that 5 years was very long time! Bob was still not as happy as in the past. He feels as if many of the staff there are snotty and snooty. I tend to agree but we did have acceptable service both at the bar and at our table. And our food was fine too.

We didn't have any issues with snobbery at CG. We thought it was nice, but we were off in a side room (the side farthest away from the observation deck) with a view of BLT. I am on the fence about going back. I think the sushi at Puck's is just as good.

LOVED this!! :rotfl2: (and mine hasn't arrived in my inbox yet either...)

Did you check your spam folder? That's where mine was. ;)

John came home early, with a bad headache.

Hope he feels better soon!

OMG I'M GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!

I'm signing off ladies (and Tom and Chris) so keep the boards going for me when I'm gone! ;)

Love you guys bunches and I'll be thinking of you all!!!

Yay for married! I hope it is all as fabulous as you have imagined it will be! :wizard:

Our agent & appraiser came today. We got a very good impression from the meeting & the walk thru. We should hear in a few days...Our house should be on the market next week.
7.gif

Good luck! I hope the house sells quickly and that you find a new one that you love! :wizard:

We are FINALLY back from the Dr's office. We got there about 8:40. They called DH back around 9:20 or so. At 10:10 the girl at the desk said the Dr. was running behind schedule and they hadn't even STARTED on DH yet! At 11:15 they finally called me back to hear what the Dr. had to say. DH told me FOUR times that they wheeled him in at 10:45. He waited so long that the IV fluids were empty. (Like the woman on Grey's last week with the head injury. He would doze off, wake up, and tell me the same thing.) Some guy ahead of him had so many polyps that it threw the entire day out of whack!

The good news is that's DH's scope went really, really well! :thumbsup2 His bowel looks completely normal and healthy, which boggles my mind. I didn't know the damage was reversible - I thought they were just tracking the progress of the disease. We got some lovely pics and I am just astonished by the difference. The medication he is on now must be just incredibly effective. So they did a few biopsies just to make sure there aren't any pre-cancerous cells and DH is supposed to go in for an office visit in a few weeks to talk about his treatment plan going forward. He has to have another scope in 3 years.

We were going to get him some lunch at Subway, but the line was out the door so he said we should just come home. Now he is asleep in the chair with the cat and he hasn't eaten anything.

So far the school hasn't called to say they are suspending my child for bullying, but the day isn't over. :rolleyes1

I realized that I didn't talk about our room! That will have to wait until later tonight. I have my own students to teach, but I also am teaching two classes for a co-worker who had to rush to her home in Brazil today. Her father died suddenly and I don't want her to come home to a lot of classes to make up. I will check in with you all later tonight!

Jennifer - thanks for putting up your TR! I am enjoying it!!!

Elizabeth - I am glad your DH's procedure went so well!! And also glad your son was not waiting at home for you when you returned... ;)

By the way... do you know if I can change my package reservations to room only or if I have to just stat over? I don't think we are going to need the dining plan!

I don't know - sorry! I know you can add the DDP to a room only, but I don't know if you can drop. Since you are more than 45 days out I would think you could, but I'm not positive.

Aack, simultaneous trip reports. I was confused for a minute! :rotfl:

Great starts, Elin and Jennifer. Thanks for posting pictures, too! They've been great so far!:goodvibes

At 2pm I give Olivia some Tylenol to keep the fever away. Headed back to the room to start getting ready for the MNSSHP and what I did for her BBB, Jeff did not take pictures of me doing Olivia’s nails and hair. Sprinkle glitter on Olivia, in her hair, on her arms. Sprinkle a little on Virginia’s head and some in my hair and on my arms.

Tia and Terra leave we head to Mickeys to see him. Then we leave.

We then saw the parade, we picked a spot where they stopped and got off and danced. After which we said good bye to Tia and Terra as they had fast pass to TSM and we needed to see the red and blue power ranger for my Nephew. Tia and I never got our Picture together though. We then headed to Downtown Disney for some shopping. We then headed back to the hotel. We ate at Earl of Sandwich yummy.

I asked for the orange bread recipe at Tuskar House. The waitress said they did not have it. she told me to go to allears.net and they have recipes their she said to look up Tuskar house and that I should be able to find it their.

I asked too. The answer that I got was that they purchase the bread from an outside bakery so they didn't have the recipe. Hope someone can find it!

Miss Elin (or anybody else)- Do you have recommendations for pieces that Cassidy should be looking at/working on for college auditions next fall?

Elizabeth- I am glad a)that DS made it through today (so far) without a phone call home. and b) that DH's testing went well. But forgive my pooh bear brain (one of my volunteers says this)...I didn't realize your husband had a disease making the colonoscopy a neccesity.

Did you ever figure out your column problem??

Thursday morning we headed to HS where us girls saw a couple of shows, both girls enjoyed playhouse Disney. While Jeff rode Tower of Terror. Then we saw the Incredibles
