:wizard: I hope your back is better :wizard: :wizard:

I hope they bring back Geoge Clooney and his family too. I've been watching ER since the beginning. It's the end of an era.

I'm sorry for your loss, but it sounds like she is in a better place. It was so wonderful of her to leave you money for your trip. Maybe you could get a brick or plaque for her.

I forgot about George and the twins!!!

Did I post that I bought the Bon Voyage package for Bob? I'm so confused...I thought I did.. We'll I bought the Bon Voyage package for Bob! Got to love cake!

Jennifer - Princess found her play group (the one I don't like, because the moms are "cliquey" and the group keeps getting bigger and bigger) through an Early Childhood PTA. Have you asked at church if any of the other moms want to start a group? When I taught Gymboree there were classes called "1+2" that were designed for moms with twins or moms with 2 kids REALLY close in age. Do you have a local Moms of Multiples group?
The best play groups we have had were one my first charge was in that formed from a Gymboree class. There were 7 or 8 kids max, and not everyone showed up every time. That one rotated houses. We met weekly for about 2 years, then the kids all went to preschool and it was too hard to coordinate everybody.
The other one was 4 nannies with our charges (and DS) that also rotated houses. That one lasted 2 or 3 years, but since it was all nannies it got complicated at the end. The bosses had more babies, one family moved kind of far away from the others, and eventually 2 of the families didn't need the nannies anymore. DS and my charge would occasionally see the twins my friend nannied after that, but we never did get another group together.
The one Princess is in has probably 14 families, and most of them have 2 kids. The thing that chaps me is that they won't "close" it, they just let it get bigger! There is NO WAY I would ever host anything at the house because there are TOO MANY people. And half of them are total strangers to me because they have added so many new ones.
Princess prefers to play with her classmates, so I don't worry if we miss play group.

That must do it, because this group started at Gymboree also. But even there, we aren't in the same Group obviously, because of the age difference. I would say I need my friends to start having babies, but I'd still be in the same predicament - just on the other end! :rotfl:

Since I hate work I'll work on Saturday and Sunday:

Saturday I woke up way too early but got to watch Psych and Monk which I don't get to at home (another tv love that Glynis and I have in common).

I then went and had a looooooooong breakfast in the lobby. I met some lovely ladies from Idaho and we talked. I went back and slept some and then got ready to party with Glynis. Alan called and said that Glynis had a spell at the event she was at and would rest for a few hours and then get me. He also said he hoped I wasn't stuck in my hotel....ummmm, that was kind of the point of the weekend. :rotfl: So I napped (three hours of sleep during the night just doesn't cut it.) and Glynis felt better and came and got me.

The place we were going to go to was price prohibitive but Alan suggested we go to the Copper Pit....because it was free and neat. Well, it wasn't free but it did give Glynis and I time to chatter so it was neat in that way...plus you all will be happy...we got more pictures of each of us just for you all. :goodvibes

Since we had time before meeting up with the rest of the family for supper we went back to....Gardner Village:cool1: . They had put up more witches and decorations overnight so we saw them, and the shops we missed (there were a lot we missed!!).

Then we were running late to supper but they couldn't start without us...we had the eating utensils!!:rotfl2: The kids are adorable and Mary had caught a catfish. During supper they all kept checking the lines and Mary's line caught another fish:lmao: . I made a comment after seeing the fish and Alan went "You really are like Glynis" We giggled so hard that it took that long for him to realize it.

It got dark really fast and we were all very disappointed that we had to say good night. Katie rode back with us to drop me off. What a sweetie:goodvibes and I headed to bed.

Kyle and I LOVE Psych, and nobody we know has even heard of it! :faint:

Since I am at work I'll give a brief (pictureless....for now) report of my weekend.

I got up at o'dark thirty on Friday. Got myself ready and said goodbye to the girls (Cassidy in person and Abi to the darkness of her room). :sad1: We go to the airport with me only screaming at about 6 cars scissoring in front me, scaring the bejeebers out of me.

It took about 5 minutes to go through security even though I got my bags checked twice....don't I feel special??:rolleyes1 At the gate (B8) a young lady asked my to make sure it was the gate for Salt Lake City. We then got to talking, she missed her flight even though she was sitting RIGHT there, the night before. She was headed to Great Falls, MT and back home to Lewistown. Well, that's where Jim's family is from so we were discussing the "small world". It made that hour and a half go quickly!!

Other than I was sitting in the same row as a grumpy gus the flight was uneventful...we even made it into Salt Lake 15 minutes early. So I called Glynis and she hadn't made it to the airport yet. After checking to see where I was going I headed to passenger pickup where 3, count em 3, gold mini vans went by. A quick phone call to Glynis and she and HER gold mini van were then located.

"What do you want to do?", "Anything!!" (this was the theme of the weekend).

On the way to the planeterium, Glynis showed me some wonderful architecture and the drug park. The Catholic Cathedral was beautiful. :lovestruc . The planeterium was wonderful, well worth the price (free:rotfl2: ). After finding the car AND parking garage exit....after 10 minutes of going around and around we were ready to make our own exit . We then decided we were just hungry enough to find lunch.

We went to Hires Big H Restaurant....had wonderful food, drinks and horrible service. At some point Alan called Glynis and invited himself to supper....he said to make sure I was comfortable on Sunday...we decided it was that he didn't want to eat at home!!

We then went to Salt Lake Square were we saw wonderful pieces of architecture and heard enough of the organ recital to be satisfied but we decided we couldn't be quiet for any longer than 5 minutes. :rotfl2: The Tabernacle has to be the most beautiful, acoustically, performance place.

After The Beehive House (which I accidently kept calling the honey house) we decided to go check into my hotel. We had breezed through all of my must sees and decided to try a new spot Gardner Village. OH MY GOODNESS!! that little village was amazing!!:lovestruc Glynis and I found our happy spot...a beautiful Christmas shop!:lovestruc The village was decorated for Halloween and we had fun just browsing.

As it headed toward supper time we went to The Training Table and stuffed ourselves once again. Alan took our picture together so that we would have proof for you all. He left when we said we were going to go get ice cream.

Don't ask me how but ice cream became Ikea:rotfl: An hour later we come out of Ikea and I went back to the hotel to go to bed.

Friday was awesome and 15 minutes together we were finishing each other's sentences, we have so much in common. We also decided that Cassidy doesn't get any choice...she is either staying in state or going to the Univ. of Utah. :rotfl:

Wow you really packed a lot into the first day. It sounds like so much fun :cool1:

I'm sorry to hear of your loss, but it sounds like everyone is very much at peace. Travel safely, and enjoy your time with your family.

It sounds wonderful! You know that pictures better come as soon as you're home, right?! ;)

The girls and I went to the most adorable pumpkin patch/farm today. They had "scenes" made of pumpkin people (similar to those on Main Street @ WDW, but more homemade of course!) that depicted fairy tale scenes, etc. I took some pictures of those, but virtually none of my girls who just slept because it's too doggone hot! It's nearly 90 again today.... ugh! :headache:

I have decided that I need to find a new playgroup though  . The one we've been crashing belongs to a dear friend of mine, whom I love seeing. The rest of the women are fine as well, but they've been "together" for about 8 months, their kids are all around a year old (which won't matter in, say, 2 or 3 years  ).... I came home more sad than relieved. :rotfl: I'm brainstorming now, but very few of my friends have kids, especially around the same age. The ones that do are working. I think as soon as Kyle's moonlighting we'll hit gymboree (we were going to wait until after Christmas, but I'm bored with our house! :rolleyes1 ).

Speaking of which, Kyle did his first 8 hours of testing today, and has about 6.5 more tomorrow. Please keep him in your prayers. I really feel like he's not prepared for this, but what do I know. This licensing exam is incredibly important, though!

I hope the rest of you are doing well. Thanks for keeping it somewhat low key while we're busy!

:wizard: :wizard: For Kyle

Theresa, sounds like you and Glynis had a wonderful time!

Here are a couple of pictures of Leighanna today from her "Dress like a star" day. Not too glamorous, but it was all I could come up with. She still did win an award.

Where's her sunglasses and boa? :rotfl: The outfit is very cute :thumbsup2

Did I post that I bought the Bon Voyage package for Bob? I'm so confused...I thought I did.. We'll I bought the Bon Voyage package for Bob! Got to love cake!

That sounds really nice. We have the Birthday package. Decorations and cake too :thumbsup2 Can you remind me where your cruise is going.

party: party: Happy Birthday Nick! party: party:

Hope you had fun today!

My grandmother died this morning very peacefully. We will be headed to Huntsville, AL on Thursday for visitation and funeral on Friday. Thanks for all your prayers. I know she is in a better place and that she and my grandfather were ecstatic to finally be back together. They had been married for 55 years when he died 11 years ago, and she missed him terribly.

She and my grandfather were the ones who got me hooked on Disney. They took my brother and me every year and we camped at FW. She left me money to pay for our December trip because she knew how much the kids love WDW. It will be a special time for us to remember her anLod my grandfather.

So sorry for your loss

Welcome home Theresa

Love your new signaure Jennifer

Janet, I hope your back is better soon, I'm constantly tripping over my cat also, it would help if he wasn't always under foot.

Tom,

Leighanna looks precious as always. Enjoy this time, when she gets older there won't be any more ruffles and bows. I'm really hoping for a princess this time so I can buy some more fru fru.

I checked out of my hotel at 8 on Sunday...after waking up at 4:30:scared1: and went with Glynis to the kids program at church. Katie had a violin solo and did very well and everybody sang....I do believe I am buying their church a metronome though...the organist played nearly every song in half time. :lmao:

After changing clothes we headed out to find what was open in Utah for brunch...Utah is one of the few states that still rolls up it's sidewalks on Sunday. We ended up at a Denny's Diner with another not so good server. But the food was good....espescially the banana split we couldn't finish...even sharing!

We head back to Glynis's house and I got serenaded to and Alan was so certain that I needed to "do" something that we finally said okay and headed out and went to a park, saw a few more cool areas and I was able to take pictures of the University for Cassidy.

It was then time to say goodby...one last tickle for the twins, one last hug for Glynis and Aunt Theresa was on her way to the most ridiculous plane ride home. :headache:

I got checked in fine....though it took the same amount of time to get through security even with me being only 2nd in line. :headache: I should have tried to sneek on the flight that was boarding to Denver as I reached my gate.

I was on a puddle jumper plane that didn't fit my carry on as a carry on. The temperature was at least 80 the entire flght:headache:. There was the lady across the aisle who was a pain in the butt from the time she got on the flight. Including every time I even put my head sideways her butt was eye level:sad2: . Then as we are getting ready to land she tried to pick an argument with me over my book cover http://www.reade-z.com/howtouseit.html and about the time we landed I was ready to throw her out a window.

When we got to the gate I got to wait 10 minutes for my carry on:headache: and then I realized our plane landed at the next to last gate on the "B" concourse. 15 minutes later I made it to the terminal and back to my kids. :lovestruc

Overall it was a marvelous weekend where I was able to recoup a little (not as much as was needed I think) and meet a dear friend and her family:lovestruc

Kyle and I LOVE Psych, and nobody we know has even heard of it! :faint:

well I love it....but not enough to pay $30 to get the USA Network...so I was thrilled that not only was Psych on but it was one I hadn't seen!!:goodvibes

Kyle is in my prayers (and you are too....sounds like you need peace more than he does).

Tom-once again you have created a beautiful outfit for an adorable kiddo!!

Well, it rained all afternoon so the Polo Match was cancelled. Not sure if we will go next week. We went to my oldest son's house and ate and watched football all afternoon. Turned out to be a good time.

I am glad you enjoyed your birthday even though it wasn't what you planned.

So why didn't anyone tell me that ER would make me cry?!

I hate that I can cry so easily over something fake. I am sad that ER is ending but it's about time. I enjoyed it a lot in the beginning and now I think I watch it out of habit. I still really like it but I can wait a week or so to watch it.

Robyn, my ExBosses were not a "real" Jewish family! :rotfl2: The only rule was "no pork in the house". On Yom Kippur they sleep all day, race to synagogue at the last minute, then count the seconds until they can go eat. They take a stab at most holidays, but their children are far from steeped in Jewish tradition. ;)

Eric and I totally blew that today as we both decided on pork chops for dinner.:rotfl: Eric's family was much more traditional when he was younger but now I really think I try to encourage them but I feel that Eric's parent resent it because we aren't raising the girls Jewish.

That must do it, because this group started at Gymboree also. But even there, we aren't in the same Group obviously, because of the age difference. I would say I need my friends to start having babies, but I'd still be in the same predicament - just on the other end! :rotfl:

I am sure you will find some friends for the girls soon! :) Love the new siggie!

Robyn - Wow! You guys really are bad at being Jewish! :lmao: Pork chops are one of my favorites, so I would have to cheat if I was Jewish. ;) One of the little old ladies at the synagogue was telling a story one day about how her mom used to let them eat ham sandwiches, but only off of paper plates. :rotfl2:

I will come back in a bit...I am trying to catch up. BUT....

I HAD A FABULOUS TIME!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

I love you all dearly but 15 minutes in to our time and we were completing each other's sentences. It was like finding a piece of my heart that I didn't know was missing.:lovestruc

Sounds like a GREAT tiem! cant wait to see pictures!

Denise lots of   :grouphug: :grouphug: to you and your family

Kyle is in my prayers (and you are too....sounds like you need peace more than he does).

Thank you! I think I do... he just hasn't prepared for this at all, and says without any regard that he "totally feels unprepared". Well, hello!?

Oh, well. It will be over before we know it, hopefully with good results!

I'm so glad your weekend turned out to be so wonderful! :goodvibes

Nick and I both forgot that he wanted to take a goodie to school with him tomorrow to celebrate his birthday. I thought of it as I was tucking him in at 9:30  Needless to say I hurried and made brownies :goodvibes

You get the best Mommy award for today!

ER was my Mom's favorite show. She died at 11:11 pm just after the end of a second parter. I haven't watched it since. I still can't believe it's been 6 years. :sad2:

's

Same here!

Good morning all--I get my new student today so my nerves are driving me crazy! Thankfully, we are off ctomorrow, so i just gotta get through today!

I hope today wasn't as bad as your feared.

ER use to be a favorite of mine as well, but like some of you I lost interest when the characters were changing.

Which reminds me of an old one I loved to watch, Knots Landing :rotfl: I never did get into Dallas, but I was glued to the tv every week with this one!

We had a heck of a lightning storm come through about an hour ago & it is still raining. No work for Gary today, so much for my quiet time at home. Oh well I guess the kitchen will get that much closer to being done. I knew it would take a while, but I have to be honest & say that I am getting really stressed over it.

My back has been feeling much better till this morning. I stepped on Mia's tail(she is black & it was dark)& when she moved it made me slip. Not good, I feel like such a whiner :sad2:

I loved Knots Landing (when my mom would allow me to stay up late and watch it.) But Dallas was mine and my mom's show. Every Friday night we'd faithfully watch it!

Hope Gary made some progress on the kitchen. Glad your back is feeling better.

I feel like I barely sat down this weekend (other than my bath with margarita's Saturday night) so I'm looking forward to my big clean-out when the boys are gone to the campout next weekend. I hope to get lots done and possibly even catch a movie or something.

Have a great day everyone. :)

Hope this weekend gives you some much needed down time.

I'm so sorry to hear this, and that you'll be apart on your anniversary!

Thanks Jennifer.

Robyn,
Happy 10th Anniversary...& yes, it's still a requirement!;) :rotfl2:

Thanks Anne Marie. Really?!? :sad2:

I'm sorry. I didn't realize that anyone else still watched it. Yes, I sobbed my way through the episode. I'm hoping for less sad stories for the final season. There has been too much sadness lately on that show.

I agree, I hope there are some happy endings.

I will come back in a bit...I am trying to catch up. BUT....

I HAD A FABULOUS TIME!! :goodvibes

I love you all dearly but 15 minutes in to our time and we were completing each other's sentences. It was like finding a piece of my heart that I didn't know was missing.:lovestruc

I am so glad that your trip was everything and more. :goodvibes

Denise, I am so sorry but happy that your grandmother has found peace. Have a wonderful trip this December and enjoy all the memories it brings you.

I hope they bring back Geoge Clooney and his family too. I've been watching ER since the beginning. It's the end of an era.

He won't come back. As much as I adore him I am ticked off that he won't do it.:headache:

Glad you enjoyed your outing to the pumpkin patch. It's one of my favorite things to do with the girls. Lots of :wizard: for Kyle and you too!!

Tom,

Leighanna looks precious as always. Enjoy this time, when she gets older there won't be any more ruffles and bows. I'm really hoping for a princess this time so I can buy some more fru fru.

I agree, Leighanna looks fabulous! Debbie, :wizard: that you get your princess.

:rotfl2:

And we are so proud of it!!!:goodvibes I love the little old lady story. Eric's grandmother will eat all kinds of no no's now. I guess she figures she might as well enjoy it. I can remember one night we had Eric's parents over for dinner and I made stuffed peppers. My mom always topped them with cheese, so I started to do the same and Eric told me that I should leave some plain. He dad won't eat 2 different types of food from the same animal. Ok fine. I left half plain and topped the rest. Guess which ones his dad ate, not those plain ones. But he refuses to eat pork or shellfish. I guess we all have our standards.
