DDA Chapter 11

so I have a question....what do I do about a co-worker who refuses to look at me when I talk to him in staff meeting?? I wasn't the only one who noticed today and I refused to continue talking to him (in a nice way..as my friend says I am too nice for my own good sometimes) until he at least acknowledged I was speaking to him.

He is the newest staff member and is a horses patoot in other areas...I think he mainly does it to tick me off and because I am so dang reasonable and I refused to back him up on his very unchristianlike views of what we should be doing as a church.

I'm not that nice. I think I would say "John? I'll continue as soon as you are ready." And I would stare at him.

have I mentioned before his name is John??? Your response freaked me out. I did repeat his name 3 times....it took 2 before he shut up and the third before he said "yes??" but still didn't look at me. Hey, at least he acknowledged my exsistence.

Nope. I was just going for a generic name. But then again, Heidi and I are psychic, you know. ;)

Leighanna lost her other front tooth last night while I was at work. She finally let her "snaggle tooth" go!:goodvibes

She gave me her tooth fairy money and told me to use it to pay for her plane ticket.:cloud9: Gotta love my girl!

She must have heard me complain to DW about how the price went up.:goodvibes

I of course gave it back to her and told her to save it for our trip.

Heidi, if you buy the "play" make up in the toy aisle for the little one, you should be fine. It is mostly glitter and washes off pretty easily in the tub!
Believe me, I know this from experience.

Leighanna did very well on her second spelling test. I should take a picture of it for you. She dotted her eyes with hearts! Silly girl! Where she got that notion I do not know!

Time for sleep for me!

Talk to you all later!

Stay safe everyone!
Leighanna is so sweet! :woohoo: Congrats on her spelling test! :wizard: Hope you find some great air fare!

I am not having a very good day. :headache:
I started to pack DS's lunch, but he wasn't out of his room yet and I wanted to ask him what kind of sandwich he wanted. I got busy doing other things and never went back to his lunch. He noticed and finished packing it himself, but he gave me grief about it.
Maybe he should make his lunch all the time then he couldn't complain about it.

Marci - I did talk to Mom yesterday. She was feeling better and thought she would probably go to work today.
She was talking about driving down here with Diva for Thanksgiving. I think that's a HORRIBLE idea, but she likes to do things I am opposed to. :rolleyes1
You may remember she drove down last year and spent the night in the Tom Thumb parking lot because she didn't want to "disturb" Ms. Selfish in the middle of the night. And she brought the guinea pig because there wasn't anyone in KS to watch it. Insane. But she HAS to come down so she can watch the babies on Black Friday while Ms. Selfish goes out shopping! Right. Good plan! Ms. Undetectable White Cells is going to drive down on Tuesday night after working all day, watch 2 germy toddlers all day on Friday, drive 9 hours back home on Sunday and work on Monday. Smack in the middle of her 12 Taxol infusions. Diva can help with the driving but Mom is going to be so fatigued she won't be able to function for days afterwards! The girls on the breast cancer thread said Taxol is bad for causing bone pain and neuropathy, which means Mom is going to have a hard time working if the side effects are severe. She should stay home and REST during the time she has off for Thanksgiving!

Now you are sorry you asked, aren't you? ;)
YIKES! She might feel differently come November. It must be frustrating for you.

Kristine, I can NOT imagine what possessed you to become ensnared in such a project in the first place. IF you had asked my opinion (which you did not) I would have told you that was a stupid thing to volunteer for because it will cause all sorts of drama. So, now you know! :rotfl2: I hope you get it all sorted out!
:rotfl2:

here's ours

Cool! Did you make that?

What a jerk! I think you tell him to look at you when you talk to him.....but I don't know if I could do that.

I must be in a mood...everybody and everything is grating on my last nerve. I am trying hard to be nice but today it isn't happening.

Ok parents, I have a question.

I sent my cousin's an email about what to get the kids for Christmas. Kristy got back to me that the girls would love make-up, kiddie stuff for the youngest and stuff meant for tween/teens for the oldest. (they are 8 and 4)

Now I was never one to think make-up for young girls was a good thing to buy. However she does let them play with it, but they don't wear it out.

Your thoughts, please?

If the make-up is for dress-up than I would be for it. Eight years old is too young to wear make-up.

Remind me to never volunteer to be in charge of a fish extender exchange again....I am ready to go crazy(er) :scared1:

:wizard:  :grouphug: :flower3: Sorry that it is a pain in your behind. I hope it calms down.

Just be glad that your exchange, does not have about 150 participants like on my cruise.

I think you are the only one who understands my pain :)

I would pass out with a group that large

no...in my travels around I found a lady who makes them....we ended up chatting and she was nice enough to make on up for us....I wish I had talent to make one myself!

Cool! Did you make that?

Start dancing behind his back so he will turn around and look directly at you :lmao:

Seriously, stand there till he has to look at you to see if you will continue speaking.

For a while it was hoovering around less then 100. Lots of people bought for 100, we got close to the cruise and lots of people wanted to sign up, so it got larger then many people anticipated.

I am sure it does not help, that everyone has to sign up in a very short period of time.

I hope it makes it out on time...several people were saying that they believe the cruise I am on won't happen :scared1::scared1::eek::eek:
I read the same things. The good thing is the Magic made it there without any problems. Disney will do everything in their power to ensure that cruise happens. Everything may not be finished, but they will try their hardest to make the cruise happen. You might have construction going on all around you, depending what happens.

If not you will have a few days at WDW.

I know when the Magic had the spa and gym upgrades they were still constructing for a few cruises after dry dock was over.

They already were laying new carpet before everyone was off the 5 day. It is amazing what they can accomplish in a short time. The cast members who were staying on were very excited to assist in this process and see the ship out of water. They also have short 9am-5pm days.

Theresa, it must be the thing for this week. I am so frustrated at work, all I could do not to walk out this morning. at one point Stephanie came into the office and leaned against the door and asked why she was not feeling drunk!!!! She had had to speak to a particular person at one office and he is really really hard to understand. Even our one co-worker who speaks Spanish cannot understand him. I get nauseaus talking to him!! :lmao:
I cannot wait till September is done with!!!!!
