DDA Chapter 11

I will soon be looking for airfare for Kristin for the trip in December. Kathrin will book her own RT but Kristin only needs one way since she will ride home with Bob and me. I wish I could book it now since there are a few decent priced non-stop flights available, but Kristin has not had confirmation that she can get those two days off.

I need some good thoughts for my mom.

She is extremely fatigued. She missed work yesterday and today. She had labs done yesterday adn I guess her white count is almost undetectable. They put her back on the Cipro and told her hopefully the Neulasta shot from last week will boost up her cells.

She is also having some other issues so she is going for a pelvic ultrasound on Tuesday. I think she is probably dehydrated because she says nothing tastes good so she isn't drinking anything. :sad2:

She is also still having problems with her incision hurting. She says it feels worse now than it did after the surgery. She says there is a lot of scar tissue, which I think is normal, but it is very uncomfortable.

They have new neighbors upstairs who are very loud into the wee hours of the morning so she is having trouble sleeping.

Diva was in the background just WHINING. She still has no job, but she was leaving to go out with her friends. Mom only had 19 paid sick days to start with and those are rapidly dwindling. Not sure how she is going to make payments on that car. I am FURIOUS that Diva isn't working, and I am worried about Mom. Diva thinks it would be fine for Mom to have 2 jobs, because Diva thinks it is 100% Mom's responsibility to provide whatever she wants. She is so selfish I want to strangle her.

:wizard: for your mom Elizabeth.

:wizard: for your mom, Elizabeth. And a  for you.

Janet.....the schools around here have major peanut moratoriums..they have designated tables for peanut free zones...so they would NEVER serve that for a student lunch....I have never heard of that with chili...I wouldn't be opposed to trying it though :)

hang in there Elizabeth...things will get better...it's a tedious process that she is going through....

Thanks, guys!
I am worried about her, and mad at Diva, and not sure what I need to do. I don't want to go up there if she doesn't really need me because later on she might be worse. :headache: My friend who covers for me with Princess is working in FL for the next month so that complicates things.

Amy, :grouphug: This too shall pass. I wish that we all lived closer so we could help you out.

Elizabeth, :grouphug: Prayers continue for your mother and you while she is dealing with this.

I'll be much happier when we hear from Debbie. Prayers continue for her & all that are dealing with the extreme weather.

Hi there...I exist.

I don't know if I have a little PPD or if I'm just exhausted and overwhelmed, but I know for sure, I'm out of energy and adrenaline this week. :(

The good:
-We had a nice visit to Huron...an excellent time at Cedar Point.
-We met Alyssa's teachers and they seem very nice (school starts Tuesday).
-Alyssa seemed to have fun at her first soccer game, and there was a playground nearby, so Matty was happy, too! :)
-Noah had a good 2-month-well appointment today (he's 24 1/4 inches long and weighs 11 pounds 14 ounces!)

The bad:
-Over the weekend, all the kids caught some sort of crud and their noses have been running non-stop for almost a week now.
-Noah is still the world's worst sleeper, unless I'm holding him all night long.
-There was only one injury during Alyssa's soccer game...Coach Kevin! Somehow he tore a muscle running down the field. He had an MRI yesterday, but the earliest he could get an appt. with an orthopedic surgeon is Tuesday. Our household and crutches do not go hand-in-hand!
-I'm so tired! This morning, I cried because I washed a load of laundry, forgetting to get all the Kleenex out of Alyssa's pockets. Silly, I know, and an easy mess to fix, but I'm exhausted. :(

So that's what's going on in Sharonville. Oh, and Kevin could end up Mayor soon!

I'm sorry I haven't been posting. You are ALL in my thoughts and prayers. Keep posting pictures, please, because they always make me smile!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Amy

  Amy I've been through the kids not sleeping. I think Nick was 5 before he slept through the night. I remember calling Chris at work and having him come home because I was an emotional mess. No matter how you have to do it you need to get some sleep. Hire a babysitter and just go to bed or have Kevin watch the kids from 6 PM to 2 AM whatever works, but you need to take care of yourself.

Congratulate Kevin on the Mayor prospect.

:wizard: :wizard: I'm sorry that she isn't feeling well. I'm not surprised as you certainly expected things to be worse up to this point. I'm sure she is over doing it as we all do.

Has anyone tried to call Debbie? It has been a while since we've heard from her.

Chris found a friend to go to the Lake George car show tomorrow. He is excited to go. Hopefully it won't rain too much and they will have a good time. My parents will watch the boys for me tomorrow night as I picked up that shift. Hopefully it will be busier than tonight. We have been pretty slow this week.

Deb - I guess I am surprised she feels this bad during her "break" from treatment. I would have thought she would feel good, but maybe the chemicals have built to levels high enough that she feels crummy. I don't know. :sad2:

I thought about trying to call Debbie, but I am pretty sure the number I have for her in my phone is actually her DH's cell phone. Has anybody tried her home number?

just stopping by to say hi--im making myself do work til at least 10, so if you see me here, yell!

I did some work tonight. I have to do more tomorrow and Sunday. As I have stuff that needs to be done by Monday.

Elizabeth- Good thoughts for you and your Mom.

I hope no one has any storm damage.
