DDA Chapter 11

Good Afternoon All-

Woohoo Molly!! First day of school is so fun

Tom- I am sorry you still feel ookie!!

Denise-I hope you have safe travels and a good visit

The girls pics are adorable, Jennifer!!

I am eating my weeks worth of sodium for lunch....ramen noodles with fresh off the tree peaches and I will have microwave popcorn later.

I had half a Thomas' square bagel with 1 thin slice of provolone and one thin slice of rare roast beef. For "dessert" I will have a cup of sugar free cinnamon applesauce. Water here too!

I am off to teach a few hours.

Jennifer, the girls look precious!

  Their outfits! I am kind of partial to Ohio State and the Reds though!
Leighanna used to have an Ohio State cheerleader outfit when she was a little toddler! She looked so cute in it! Waaaaa!!, I miss those days!
Funny thing I remember it like it was just yesterday! They grow too darn fast!

We have some of those for next season.. they don't make them very small (I believe 12 mos was the smallest we saw anywhere), so the onesies had to do! :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone, for the comments on the pictures! :goodvibes

Elizabeth, I got the pins -- thank you again! Does the $20.40 include shipping?

I had a Lean Cuisine meal with cottage cheese & beets on the side.

I have chili in the crock pot for dinner, the nights are getting cooler here!

Chanon thinks I am weird lol so I will ask the rest of you, "what do you eat with your chili"? Our schools around here serve chili with peanut butter sandwiches & this has stuck with us. Besides crackers we have to have plenty of peanut butter & bread handy when having chili :thumbsup2 Kristine are the schools in Chicago the same way?

Well we usually have cornbread and/or fritos with our chili. I wonder why they serve a pb sandwich with chili, isn't that like having two entrees??

Fritos is good too with some cheese & sour cream, yum!

Continental has implemented a $15 fee for a customer's first checked bag when traveling on Economy fare tickets purchased on or after Sept. 5, 2008 for travel on or after Oct. 7, 2008 within the 50 U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and Canada.

I really wish we could boycott somehow.

That's because having peanut buttered bread with chili IS weird. :teeth:
Our side with chili is good ol' fashioned Jiffy cornbread.

You're welcome! Yep, tax and shipping included. :)

Janet - I don't eat chili. DH eats it plain.
Serving chili over Fritos is a big thing around here. I know that's how the school served it when I went to elementary in Houston. I'll have to ask my mom (the lunch lady :rotfl: ) how they do it in Kansas.

She was all in a twist the other day about cookies. Last year the kids only got one cookie, this year they are supposed to get two. (The cookies are not smaller - I thought obesity was an issue in this country?) Anyway, Mom had to bust her butt to bake twice as many cookies. I guess they bake for some of the smaller schools and distribute the goods? Well, then a bunch of the trays of cookies came back because the workers only gave one cookie to each kid. Not sure WHY the stuff gets sent back or what they do with it, but she was irritated.

Chanon - Momboss has to go to London on business in November. She said when she went in January the ticket was $5300. Now it is $7700! :scared1: No wonder it is $1100 to go to WDW for Spring Break. :sad2:

You'll like this one too - we had a client call on tickets from Cleveland to Knoxville. One way BASE price (before taxes and fees and fuel surcharges) was $77. When you add all the taxes and fees and fuel surcharges, the ticket went up to $378.

Unfreakinbelievable.

(ETA: That's the final RT cost...so that's at 189 for a one way flight. More than doubled.)

Why, oh why, did I wait to get my airfare?!?!

Tickets just went up over $30 pp each way!

That's an extra $180 that I DON'T want to pay!

Maybe I will hold off and see if they go down again. My luck they will go up even further!:scared:

I remember having that when I was in school. I have to say I never have it when I have chili now. We always have chili and corn muffins.

What airline is that? :scared:
I can find airfare for Spring Break for just over $500 if we fly one airline going in, another one coming home, and change planes twice both directions. Of course it would take about 8 hours to get there that way. :headache:

I guess I will just have to deal with the fact that we are going Aug. 7-16 and hopefully for a few days next December and that's going to be IT. And really, not going until August gives us the most bang from our APs.
