DDA Chapter 11

Jen - good luck this morning! :wizard:

Deb - I hope the swelling turns out to be nothing.

Who was it that mentioned making baby clothes into a quilt a few days ago? How would one do that?

Marci- I am so glad the party went well! :) I hope Jake is feeling better and that the boys can stay healthy for school!

DS got up and got ready without any fuss this morning. I hope he has a good day. I told him not to freak out if there is something on his schedule that needs to be changed. It will take a couple of weeks for them to figure out who is coming back and who isn't, and they will have to figure out where to put the new kids so his schedule will probably change anyway.

I know when I was in middle school I signed up for orchestra but since I was in "gifted" classes they put me in French instead so it wouldn't mess up my academic schedule. I ended up dropping a gifted class so I could be in orchestra. I hated gifted anyway and dropped it entirely in 9th grade so it was fine. ;)

Deb - DS used to get swollen glands in his neck even when he felt OK. You could stand behind him and see them sticking out. :scared: The doctor said it was nothing to worry about. I hope you aren't getting sick! :wizard:

I signed up for facebook after reading Vicki's post. I'm not sure I'm comfortable putting my actual address and phone number on there. I guess I'll play it by ear and see how things go. There doesn't appear to be many people that I know from high school on there :confused3

I did it too....I did not however get that far. The only ones I knew from high school was one of the other mom's I spent the weekend "banding" with:rotfl: The rest of the LHS people were kids in now!!!:rotfl2:

It was Channon-my friend who is a gifted quilter teaches how to do t-shirt quilts. I would bet it's like that.

My week isn't starting so well....running late, with a migraine, nearly got hit by ANOTHER truck trying to cross the street legally after having Cassidy in my bed all night. Her bed collapsed last night so until we get it switched out I get a bed buddy.

Well...i talked to the secretary and she said that the principals and the director of elementary education are all in a meeting and will probably be in there all morning. She said that she would talk to the director when the meeting is over and call me back. If i dont hear from her by 2, I was told to cal back...so more waiting!

Theresa-sorry your day is not having a good start

:wizard: that the migraine goes away fast.

 that the week gets better.

That's what we have on. It was on last night, too, so we are watching the exact same parts we have already seen. I wish it would have started earlier so we could have picked up where we left off! :rotfl2:

As the books got longer and had more complicated content there was no way the movies could keep up. I didn't see "Goblet" in the theater, but I really noticed it in the 3rd movie. We had an interesting chat with a CM in the UK pavilion about the differences in the US books vs. the UK ones. I don't know if there are major plot differences or just subtle ones, but I would like to read the UK ones.

Alan and I were talking about the HP movies, and we both agreed that we loved Book 5 the least, but that was our favorite of the movie adaptations. Weird, huh? I can't wait for the next movie, but just found out that it's been moved from November of this year to sometime next Spring. That makes me so mad!!! I was looking forward to seeing it in the theater before Peanut is born. Now, who knows when I'll be seeing it! Grrrr!

Theresa - did I hear there was a tornado in Denver this weekend? Or was that just part of my vivid dreaming that's begun?

Keeping my fingers crossed!
