Okay TMI

Has anyone ever had a yeat infection on their nipples? They were sore Sun and yesterday. It was painful to nurse on the left yesterday. I went to pump today at work and the left one was hurting so bad that I had to stop thats when I noticed it was cracked and bleeding.:scared1: So my Dr. called in some triple nipple cream.

I had severely cracked nipples, bleeding, etc -- I'm so sorry! As for yeast, I don't know first hand but I hear that it's a stinging, shooting pain (more internal than superficial at the nipple).

I hope the cream helps! Lanolin before nursing might be a good barrier until they heal. Good luck!

Jen - good luck today!

Kristine - I am glad all was OK last night.

Debbie and our Texans... I hope Edouardo doesn't bring you too much water and/or wind.

I am headed to Atlanta today. I will have my laptop with me and hopefully can check in tonight from the hotel. Everyone have great days.

Thanks for thinking of me, the storm isn't anywhere near here.

Just wanted to let you know i am home. I am in a lot of pain. I was feelign much better at the hospital but my throat is a bit swollen now. Its hard to swallow, but i am doing it constantly. The meds are not making me sleep so here i am. I tried sleeping but i cannot breath through my nose (they said due to the intubatino tube or something) and breathing through my mouth makes my throat really dry and its painful to swallow..so here i am

 Hope you're feeling better soon.

Jen,
Glad you are home...take care of yourself.

Janet,
I know I missed you..have a blast!!!!!!

Dana got his first interview regarding that NC job next week. I don't know whether to be excited or scared.:yay:

That is horrible. I can't imagine what the community is going through. Did you have to evacuate?

Wow, you've bit off a big chore with a group outting that. We did it 3 years with the cub scouts and each year it got bigger. It was fun, but very stressful and lots of work. I hope that yours goes off as well as ours did and that you get to enjoy it without working the entire weekend.

No, we didn't have to evacuate. It was on the other side of town (which is less than 10 miles away).

Chuck and I thrive on stuff like the camping weekend. The plan is that we will be working most of the weekend. If others have fun, that will make it enjoyable for us. I did a lot of events similar for Girl Scouts. They are all great people so I know they will offer to help with the cooking and cleaning. These are people I work with from across the state and they are doing a lot on the special project I'm on. These are a lot of the "Leads".

Jen, :grouphug: I hope that you are feeling better soon. I have one word for you - popsicles. I was 5 when I had mine out and I still remember how sooting that was!

My dad just called and told me that my uncle (his eldest brother) died this afternoon. I don't know much details other than his wife left this morning and he seemed fine and came home to find him dead. They live in Wisconsin and I imagine just my dad and other uncle (the middle brother) will head out there soon. The cousins that we just visited over the 4th are his kids.

yup....laid me up for a week or so. Two days were so bad that Cassidy went for day long play dates so it could be just Abi and I. Abi was about the same age as Virginia.

So the first feed the band night is over. This is the first year he's sent the kids out on time....and the only year we haven't completely been ready for them!!:rotfl2:

There is a couple of new moms who just couldn't grasp the concept that the rest of the meals are out in the boonies and can't be expensive or complicated. They might be the thorns in my side, but they might also come up with something I hadn't thought of.

Yes -- my doc called it thrush. It was one of the most painful things I've ever been through. If I hadn't been so determined to keep nursing, I would have stopped right then and there. I literally cried through each feeding. Good luck -- sending lots of PD!

Good luck to him. I hope you both feel comfortable with whatever happens.

I'm so sorry. Safe travels for everyone and sending PD and prayers for the family.

Jen -- I hope the pain meds finally kicked in and you've gotten some relief.

We had hoped to get some rain from the tropical storm, but it looks like other than a few sprinkles, it isn't happening. Have a good evening everyone!

Janet and the boys arrived safely. They are currently on the bus to Movies. Or Music. I don't remember where I put them. Tomorrow they move to Riverside!

The Food Network has a couple of new shows...right now on Road Tasted with the Neelys they are doing places around Denver...I smell road trip out of this show. :lmao:

Thanks gals. While I am sad, I feel some sort of relief. For him and for my cousins. My uncle had been having a rough few years, he has been battling alcoholism and it had progressively gotten worse. He had tried to take his life a few times and the fall out has been hard on everyone. My cousins have felt torn between what they want to do and what they could do for him from where they were. And my uncle's wife is a piece of work. All the time he was having issues with alcohol she was having him fix her drinks. She is a piece of work to say the least. I hope that my cousins will find peace in knowing he isn't suffering and they won't have to deal with her much longer.
