Debbie, those are absolutely beautiful. He gets the DDA husband of the day award! Congratulations on 23 years!

Good Morning DDA,

I had to share the surprise DH had for me, 23 long stem red roses, one for each year.

I only got him a card, we had agreed that our trip was our gift. :lovestruc

Instead of giving me roses, my husband took home-sterilized surgical equipment to my c-section incision today!
I have had a heck of a time with 4 spots that keep opening up, and finally we found the culprit of the worst one. The knot at the farthest end won't dissolve still (I'm guessing because it's bulkier), and so my body is totally rejecting it and trying to shove it out.

The solution? Take it out :faint:

My OB suggested it, and said I could come in or just have Kyle do it at home. It really wasn't as big a deal as it sounds, but it was a funny picture, to say the least!

Now, I just hope the rest comes out (we couldn't get the whole knot, because the sutures kept breaking... which means they're at least breaking down some!) or dissolves on its on. In the meantime, back to packing and covering the stupid holes until it starts healing again. Fun, no?

Maybe in 6 months I won't feel this pregnancy still?! :rotfl:

We're off to church this morning, for the first time in MONTHS (pre-bedrest). I have a feeling we'll be held up there a while, since our family is now twice as large and the 2 newest members are cuter than us ;)

Have a great day, DDA! :goodvibes
Funny! I'm sure you will all gets tons of attention!

I had staple with my c-sections, and they were taken out before I left the hospital, then those surgi-strip things were applied.

Supposedly sutures heal better, because they just dissolve fairly quickly. I'm not sure I agree

So what photo hosting sites do you guys use? We have been using Photobucket, but when I uploaded ONE pic for DH yesterday it took FOREVER! They have also changed the format of the website so I was a little confused.

Some people on the Photo boards use SmugMug, but I don't know if I really want to PAY for a site. We don't use the service that often. Of course we are hoping to post pics of the trip every day, but I may get frustrated and scrap that plan if I can't get Photobucket to cooperate! :headache:

Good morning, DDA!!!

Happy Anniversary Amy and Kevin!

Happy Anniversary Debbie and Richie!

Yeah for the upcoming trips!!

Jen - In case I don't make it back...Good luck on your interview tomorrow!

Well, I thought I was going to make it to church this morning, but after I got things cleaned up time was running short. I still need a shower and to get Rachel's sewing stuff set up so that she can finish Connor's birthday present right after they get home from church. So, I ended up here instead. ;) We're headed to the pool for Connor's birthday party after lunch so all fingers are crossed for no rain. Last year the weather was almost too cold for a pool party (it did work to keep the crowds very low though!) Today was forecasted to rain a lot. So far though things are looking good. Though considering the crowds possibilities, I think Terra and I will get there early to secure enough space for the rest of us.

Oh yeah, and lots of fingers crossed that I might have this week off! The two older girls were maybe going to leave for Ohio with their grandparents on Sat. If they did, Momboss said that she wanted to stay and work from home this week so that she could spend some time with BabyGirl.

thankfully I only had a c-section with Kirsten....I had staples as well....I found that to be a horrible experience....I would have rather had stitches

I love those weeks!
Princess is in camp 9 AM - Noon every day this week so I can get her things ready for her trip. The camp is at her preschool and lots of her friends are enrolled, too, so I think she will have a great time!

Elizabeth, :woohoo: one week. I wanna go.

If you are packed you are more than welcome to join us! ;)

I just finished cleaning our bedroom. Well, it is cleaner than it was. :rolleyes1 I dusted and vacuumed and put a fresh topper/runner thing on the dresser because it was covered in cat fur. Clean enough! Aurora tends to hide in there so the pet sitter has to look for her. I figured I better do at least a little bit of cleaning.

DH went around yesterday and gathered up all of his old magazines and took them to the recycling dumpster. Talk about bizarre things! He had magazines all over the coffee table, on the back of the commode, and piled up next to the bed. Some of them were 8 years old. :scared1: I don't know what possessed him to FINALLY get rid of them, but I am glad he did! :thumbsup2
