Theresa I do not talk a lot about my personal life as far as Gary & I go, but your post hit home with me. This may sound strange, but there have been a few times that I have wanted to call you just to talk for a shoulder to lean on. I know I have never met you, but for some reason I have always felt you would understand. I know this post is making no sense, but I am here for you

Good morning. :)

You'll be happy to know I'm done now.

We got documents today.  :cool1: :cool1: Now I am panicking.

OK, so now it appears we are doing Disneyland 2 days. But am not entirely sure. The reason we might now be doing two days, is Charlie's 5 year old son. Heard that we are going one day and he said he has never been and wants to go. :goodvibes So there will be about 8 of us on Friday and then there will be 12 of us on Saturday. None of them have been to Disneyland for a few years. Age range is 5 to 70 ish. It shall be interesting.

Does anyone have any favorites at Disneyland for boys around age 5? I have never met him, so I really do not know anything about him.

I have to decide if I want a tiara and gloves for the Grown up princess night. I think I have enough clothing and most other things I need. In three weeks I will already be in CA.

Night everyone. I hope you have a great weekend.

Favorites for a boy of 5, huh?

Here ya go:

Buzz Lightyear (definitely. He should love it!)
The Tiki Room
The Jungle Cruise
Pirates (there are 2 drops, so he might want to be warned)
Pooh Bear
Dumbo
King Arthur's Carousel
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (can be a bit scary, but if you get him driving, he'll think it's neat)
Peter Pan
Snow White
Pinocchio
Matterhorn (depending on his size and bravery level)
Finding Nemo subs
Star Tours (depending on his size and bravery level)
Space Mountain (depending on his size and bravery level)
Anything in Toon Town

In DCA:

Soarin' (depending on size)
Jumpin' Jellyfish (if he's over 40 inches)
King Triton's Carousel
All of A Bug's Land with the exception of the movie
Monster's Inc.
Turtle Talk with Crush

I think that's about it. This is based on what my kids liked when they were that age. A lot of rides depend on their height. And there are some that I know that even though Leslie was the right height, she just couldn't emotionally handle.

Hope this helps!

Well, I've got to get off and finish getting ready for the trip today.

I've got the car stocked up with protein snacks and water bottles, so I should be ok.

My mom called last night, and asked if it would be ok if we went baby shopping while I'm down there! She is definitely excited about this baby! I told her, of course it's ok! I'm out to spoil this little miracle!!!

I got water shoes yesterday for myself and the kids, since we will be going to the water park this trip. See, Elizabeth, I'm packing in my head. :thumbsup2

Oh, that counts! :rotfl:

Great pictures! I haven't been there in years. Did you take the train?

We had not been since Kristin was 11 or 12, so more than a decade for us! It never occurred to me to take the train... is there a station close?? I will have to check that out because Kristin and I bought Annual Passes. It would have cost us $30 for the 2 of us to do everything. APs cost us $50 total and include everything. We can go back when it is less crowded and in the different seasons now!

Have a wonderful trip with the kids and your Mom, Glynis!

Tammi - I can't believe how fast this week went by. I am glad the kids get back tonight. :goodvibes

Oh yeah, you would have needed to get from the train station in Lorton to Mt. Vernon. DUH!

I bought everything on my kids' list except for two things. Nicholas' list says 2 dry erase markers and band aids. Um, should I send in chalk too? And what's wrong with the nurse's office? Aren't there any band aids there?

However, when we go to back to school night and I find out there is a reason that NICHOLAS needs the markers, then I will buy them. I am not supplying the teacher with them though.

Im not sure about his teacher, obviously..But in the past, I have been in classrooms in which each child had their own small dry erase board in their desk. I would say a questino (math question, spelling, etc) and the kids would all write the answer and hold up teh boards..I was able to then look arounda t them all. We probably used them 2-3 times a week...
Of course, i have no idea if this is what your teacher is planning on doing, but just wanted to throw it out there

That's a start! :thumbsup2 Are all of the panties for you? I bought 10 pairs at a Victoria Secret sale (10 for $25 instead of their ridiculous normal price) and they have been in the bag for months, waiting to go to WDW! I washed them all last weekend.

nope only one pair of those undies were for me....I am persnickity about my undies.

Band Aids is a new one for me! But we get the dry erase markers listed every year. Like Jen said, some of the classes have little 8x10 type boards for each child.
Our schools do not have big chalk boards in the classrooms - just dry erase.

Great! And when you arrive at WDW without any luggage I will tell folks how you are dressed in your head! ;)

Wow you all were chatty yesterday. Bob and I went and did some back to school shopping, ate dinner out and went to see Mamma Mia. We both really enjoyed it.
Now I'm off to catch up. I have to find out if peanut is a pirate: or a princess: .

My kids come home today!!!! :yay: Although they won't get here until around 9 tonight. :guilty:

Woo hoo on kiddos coming home today....mine does to officially (at 11:59 PM:rotfl: )

he is probably getting his own dry erase workboard....my girls had to take in dry erase markers from 2nd grade on. The bandaids are a mystery though:confused3
