We were getting our Cheyenne Mountain Zoo membership while on vacation and we were singing one of the zoo songs we know. (We're going to the zoo,zoo. How about you, you?) and the lady looked at us funny and said we better get you those passes quick if your singing about it. I told her we knew two others if she wanted more.

Well, after much number crunching and checking availability at various resorts, I discovered that cash ressies are available for studios at OKW for the dates that I need. Soooo.....I called member services and got a studio for my parents for the 3 nights and one for myself for 2 nights. Those ressies are linked to our DVC nights, so we won't have to change resorts! Plus I got 25% member discount! So it's a little more than we would have paid for the suites, but worth it to not have to move! And I'm still on the waitlist!

Now the trip seems real and I can concentrate on airfare!

I'm glad that some things are falling into place. It makes it feel much more real

Well, it is another very hot day here today! I got the a/c going early, and I'm drinking so much water I'm going to start floating!

Anyway, the kids and I went to the school library this morning. The librarian there is wonderful and the kids like to visit her. Katie is working on the Newberry Challenge. Our principal and the librarian have issued the challenge for any 5th and 6th graders who read 50 Newberry Award books during those 2 years will get 50 dollars and their names engraved on a special plaque in the library. They've been doing this for about 6 years, and so far there are only 3 names on the plaque. Katie is determined to get her name on that plaque. She's read (and done reports) on 25 books, and has until May 29th to get another 25 done.

After the library, we drove to the mall for some lunch Chick-fil-A, Amy!!! So yummy!!! Then we browsed in the Build A Bear store. The kids all found several things they think their bears need, so now they have incentives for working and doing extra chores around the house. We also decided to go back to the store Friday after the ultrasound and make a bear for Peanut. That has got them so excited! Me too, truth be told! Will make it seem more real!

Now, we're home, and I'm relaxing at the computer! In about an hour I'll put together a chicken salad so it can chill in the fridge for a couple of hours before dinner. I got a couple of cantaloupes at the store which we'll have with dinner and some yummy avocados!

I'm giving notice that I'll be gone from Saturday morning until Wednesday night. I'm taking Katie and 2 of her best friends along with Jacob to see some plays at my dad's theater. It's kind of a tradition, and I wanted to do it before I get too much bigger. Besides, after the ultrasound, I have a feeling I'll want to see my mommy! Alan will stay here with the twins and do some fishing/bonding with them. So, I'll be out of touch during that time!

I do promise, though, to come here on Friday and let you all know about the results of the ultrasound, and the sex of the baby.

I can't wait to hear about the ultrasound. Have a great safe trip

The Orlando Sentinel also reported that Disney will reduce performances of "Fantasmic!" at Disney's Hollywood Studios to just two nights a week, beginning in January. The finale of the daily "American Idol" competition will take place in that park toward the end of the day, although no other entertainment to replace Fantasmic! has been announced. Magic Kingdom and Epcot will continue to have 7-day nighttime spectaculars, "Wishes" and the "Reflections of Earth" shows respectively.

That is ridiculous. The stadium is always mobbed with 7 or more shows per week. I cannot imagine how bad it will be on those 2 nights.

it's what I thought too. You just look into some babies eyes and they are old souls. I have a friend, Peter, he's almost two and he is an old soul.

I grew up with everybody telling me that I was an old soul (until I turned about 25 and decided to have some fun )

My Nephew is definitely an old soul right to his core.

I've actually heard that! There is a Gymboree zoo song about "We're goin' to the zoo today, we're goin' to the zoo!" It used to get stuck in my head and drive me batty!

I did manage to squeeze in a triple batch of crepes, 2 meat pies and dinner, but other than that I didn't accomplish much.

Heidi - Sorry about your finger. I have cut myself with the scissors when I was trying to cut the tag off of something that I was wearing. I also managed to cut myself when I was attempting to trim one of those stick-on bra things. I was also wearing that.

Sounds like a simple solution to me. Stop cutting things while you are wearing them, Silly!!!!

Care to give me some tips on crepes? I love them, but am not the best at cooking them. I'd love to know how to do them correctly!

I didn't say that I made them correctly I use the recipe for dessert crepes.

1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup flour
2 eggs
1 tablespoon cooking oil
2 tablespoons sugar

Mix it well until all the lumps are gone

I use a large electric griddle and use a measuring cup or ice cream scoop to place the batter onto a hot buttered griddle. I set my griddle to 300 degrees. Once the batter sets up and bubbles in the middle it's time to flip them. Brown to your liking and enjoy with fresh berries, powdered sugar or maple syrup.
