While at WDW at the beginning of April DH and I both purchased hats. DH decided to get character autographs on his and give to DS(10) as a souvenier after the trip. I decide to follow suit.
After waiting in-line at MTTF for the Princesses autographs for a long time DD(7) and I set off to meet DH and DS. I was on an electric scooter and had DD on my lap. I couldn't see over the hat and had her take it off. When we get to DH and DS no hat. I didn't make sure it was well secured. Off we go re-tracing our route, back to MTTF all to no avail. Asked several CM's about lost and found and explained the story. No hat. DD is in tears almost inconsolable. I promised to buy her another hat and took full responsibility for the loss as I had her take it off. It's not like she laid it down and walked off.
We go to TTA and get to the turnstiles DD still in tears. CM asked what was wrong and DD explains. CM said she couldn't replace the autographs but could get her another hat. She got out a certificate and filled it out for us to get another hat. (Pixie dusting #1)
We had ressies at CM that evening and I planned to get the hat at the Contemporary and start the re-autographing at dinner. Go to the store, find hat, go to counter and DD just HAS to tell the "hat story". Well, the CM behind the counter ask's her co-worker if she minds if she runs over to CM's to get them to sign her hat. (Pixie dust #2.) I was floored. I politely declined and explained that we were eating there and could get our own but made sure to thank her profusely for the offer.
There are great Cast Members out there and we got 2 in one day.
