So about 3 weeks ago, I had given up on conventional medicine/doctors and decided to visit a homeopath for my DD2's severe eczema problem. I'll make a long story short here. To control the eczema, my daughter is no longer able to eat sugar (including natural sugars like fruit, honey, cane sugar, maple syrup, etc.) which also includes sugar substitutes and sugar-like substances, dairy, vinegar and vinegar products (condiments, salad dressings, pickles, etc.) or any citris. You can only imagine how hard it's been to find things for her to eat. However, IT WORKS. She has cleared up without the use of steroids. Yes, she's on vit. C and multivitamins and DHA.
Problem is, how the heck are we gonna enjoy our eating experiences???
Our TA said no prob., just call each restaurant and explain her diet, they will accomodate her. OK, I'm sure they will, but she's not gonna want what SHE has. She's going to want what WE have!
PLUS, alot of our reservations are at buffets. Will they still make her something separate? On top of it, she's 2 years old, it's not like we paid for her since she's considered "free". I feel so bad for her, not able to enjoy the good food, and dessert is especially off limits!
We even bought the dining plan...
I've been testing her on "normal" foods and she breaks out at the least amount of sugar within 12 hours after consumption. I'm afraid to let her just enjoy herself because the result is quite devastating.
By the way, if any of you have eczema or have children with eczema, I would love to tell you more indepth about this, if you're interested in knowing more about what has worked for us, and completely safe and natural.
