Some of you may remember about a week and a half ago I was asking about strep throat for my DD9. I did end up taking her to the doctor, and it wasn't strep. DD12 starts showing similar symptoms, and her asthma was really bothering her. Took her the doctor today, and it's walking pneumonia! She had it exactly this time last year, too.

She stayed home half a day from school today, and will stay home tomorrow to give the antibiotic a chance to work. She shouldn't be contagious after that.

Luckily she feels pretty well. (lol-- just as I typed that she hollers up from downstairs "I don't feel good!" )

I'll go get her fixed up. Prayers, please?

sore throat, headache, complained off and on of an ear-ache, occasionally wasn't hungry (which sent up big red flares... she's ALWAYS hungry). A couple of times she turned off her light at night before I told her to. Another unheard of.

The biggest clue was the fact that instead of using her asthma inhaler once or twice a week, she was using it 4 times A DAY!!!

you have my sympathy! Two yrs ago my DD was almost 4, it was over the xmas holidays. All she had was a cough that she couldn't quite shake. No temp, no chest pains, no coughing spells, no nothing! I finally took her just to be checked and she had the same thing! I couldn't believe she was really sick. Same thing happened when my DS had advanced Lymes- no rash, no illness, no nothing! That time the dr said he must have had it about 2 yrs before being diagnosed!

I told you that you shouldn't leave her outside instead of the puppy.:rotfl:

Best of Luck. Prayer is sent,

So sorry to hear that she is sick. Sending her wishes to get better soon.

Hope she gets to feeling better soon. I just got over broncitis and walking pnemonia and I have never been so sick in my life.

seems like ever since the first time I came down with bronchitis then pneumonia, I get it the same time every year. I have the bronchitis now and am trying to take it easy, but it just keeps going and going.......

I hope she'll feel better soon. It stinks being sick - especially around the holidays.:(

You are awful... and the puppy isn't nearly as mouthy!:teeth:

I had this when I was a sophomore in high school. I was out of school for about a week. I told my mom that if she found some way to make me feel better I'd never fake sick again! :smooth:
