Dd12 asks---make up for redheads?

Not a redhead, but when I was a teenager, I actually wore a clear mascara (made for people who wear contacts - to be less irratating.) It makes lashes appear thicker - just a little darker of their own shade, without the dramatic color. I don't remember the brand, but it was just average make-up isle stuff, so if they still make it, it should be easy to find.

Oh - post #20, at the same time I was typing, says the brand.

I would also say clear for a 12 yr old. I got that for DD's dance recital.

My DD (20) is also a red head and she found a blue mascara that didn't make her look goth. I think it might have been cover girl and it's not easy to find but it is out there. It also helps to emphasize her light blue eyes.

I also used navy or blue mascara when I was younger. I'm a pale-skinned, blue-eyed brunette. I did violet occasionally too.

Now that I'm more grey than brunette  I should try those colors again.

DD is even paler than I, but somehow got black eyelashes in her blue-eyed, brown-haired mix. Her eyes are killer. Dh is going to lock her up soon. ;)

Max Factor has a brand I think it may be Volumptous or something like that that comes in Auburn, I think I always had the best luck finding it at Wal-mart.

Another redhead here, and I wear brown/black mascara and brown eyeliner...both from Covergirl.

Max Factor has 2 or 3 mascara types that come in auburn.

Almay has a nice line of coloured mascaras geared to eye colour; my eyes are green, so I wear the raisin, and it works rather well for me. (My hair is strawberry blonde, not deeper red.)

Cliinique has auburn and blonde brow pencils, too -- the pencil is tiny-thin, so handle carefully. (Good prices at Sephora, but still not cheap. I couldn't live without this pencil.)

Check the mfr websites; you can see the entire lines, and sometimes there are coupons there.
