it was for a job interview!!!!!! :)

They were very impressed with all of her experience and it looks as though they may be willing to start her out at her current salary (if hired) or a bit MORE - and they are agreeable to NO weekends!!

Now she has to wait for a second interview.. She is SO excited - her DH is thrilled that she may be leaving the other place - and I'm....well...I'm being a "Mom".. Still worried about the possible dangers of working in that atmosphere..

Last night I was teasing her on the phone and said, "Well why don't you just go out and get a job as a police officer? How about a fireman? Maybe join the military??"

Sometimes I feel like her sole purpose in life is to worry me to death!!!

But - if this is what she wants (and the doctor has agreed it would be better for her) - then I'll support her 100%..

Please keep your fingers crossed that she gets this job - and that it's the right one for her..

FANTASTIC NEWS!! :Pinkbounc I'm sure, from what you have said, that she will do just fine.:wizard:

Terrifici news. She must be very good at it. Thank heaven there are people like her that are willing to help others. You must be so proud (and worried). You're a great mom.

Good for her!!!!

I am not sure I understand what you mean by "working in that atmosphere". Di oyu mean because you are afraid that she will become epressed being around sick folks? Or are you worried because she will be around folks who may be unstable for a period of time?

The patients who are suffering from much more serious mental illnesses and have a tendency towards violent behavior.. It's a co-ed ward, so she'll be dealing with grown men as well as women and it makes me uneasy.. On the other hand though, I saw NO shortage of staff when I was there so I'm probably worrying needlessly.. Just being a "Mom", I guess..

:sunny: things are really getting brighter for your DD! Keeping my fingers crossed for you all!

My mother used to say "Everything happens for a reason". Good for her!!

C.Ann - it sounds better than the atmosphere at her current job. That sounded like it was more stressful + working with teens is a different kind of difficult. Sounds like she's ready for a change.

Hang in there "Mom"!

Fingers & toes crossed, C.Ann! Glad to hear DD was feeling well enough to go in! GOOD FOR HER!!!!!!!!!!! :sunny:

Actually the past week has been a terrific one for her.. She's been walking every day and right now she, her DH and my granddaughter are up here to the lake.. They brought their trailer up for the season today.. They weren't going to bring it up until tomorrow, but DD just couldn't wait.. Last year she was NOT in any rush to get it up here, but in between her walks all week she was busy as a bee getting it all scrubbed down and packed up.. She's really looking forward to the summer and I can honestly say that last year it seemed like she was very reluctant to be up here - like her mind was always someplace else..

Just having her DH really understand and cooperate has worked wonders for her.. Actually, they BOTH seem happier now!;)

awwwwwwww ANN i'm so thrilled for you and your family!!

Was there an update on what happened to the meanie that scared your dgd?? Would she work with her?
