If I purchase a 10 day park hopper with water parks option, can I go to the water parks outside of that ten day park hopper window but within the 14 day use from first entry. If this sounds confusing, basically we will be at WDW for 15 days. I have an AP my DD does not and she does not live with me. If I purchase a 10 day park hopper and utilize 3 of those days just for water parks, am I still entitled to 10 days at one of the other parks.

I am just trying to figure out what type of ticket to buy for her for a 14 day stay.

Thanks

A day 10 hopper with water parks and more gets you:

10 days of MAJOR park hopping - so DHS, MK, Epcot, and AK. If you go to 2 parks in one day, you use up 1 day on a park hopper (or 3 parks or 4 parks -- whatever).

AND

10 visits to the MINORS - water parks and DisneyQuest. If you go to 2 waterparks in one day, you use up 2 visits of your 10.

All entitlements on the tickets expire 14 days from first use unless you purchase a non-expiring ticket.

You can use your waterpark and DisneyQuest options on different days than your park days, within the 14 days. We did the same thing a couple years ago when some of us had APs and some had 10 day passes.

Yes, a 10 day ticket with the water park option will also have 10 water park entries that can be used on the same days or different days than the main park entries. Water park entries will not take away any of your main park days.

However, do note that all tickets expire 14 days after their first use, but the first day counts as one of the 14 days. So if you first use the ticket on the first of the month it will be good up to and including the 14th of that month. If you'll be there for 15 days she'll be able to use the ticket for all the days she's there, but not on both the arrival and departure day.

So, if I understand correctly, with a 10 day park hopper with water parks, within a 14 day period, DD can go to 10 days at the major parks and 4 separate days of water parks to total the 14 days. So basically, DD can get 14 days worth of major parks/water parks out of the 10 day ticket?? Or am I still confused???

You're right, she can do that, but it doesn't have to be 4 days of water parks. She will get 10 entries with WP&M. If she goes to BB one morning, then MK, that is 1 water park entry and 1 Park Day. If she goes to TL and then DQ one day that is 2 water park & more entries. She can use them however she likes.
