DD spilled hair gel - need slippery floor help!

DD spilled half a bottle of hair gel in our downstairs bathroom. We cleaned it up, but it left the linoleum floor VERY slick. I feel like I need to put something on it to soak it up --- cornstarch? kitty litter? Any suggestions?

I'd use alcohol.

Or dish soap....something that will cut grease.

Did you just wipe it up or did you wash the floor to get it up? Just wiping would still leave residue. Unfortunately it sounds like the floor needs a good scrubbing to get the residue up.

I hate to sound like the dad from "Big, Fat Greek Wedding", but have you tried Windex?

Maybe try pouring something on it like soda (sticky) and then clean the floor. I know if DD's detangler spray gets on the bathroom floor it's like an ice skating rink.
