DD not coming home from College for the summer.

DD (lauren) will be taking classes over the summer at the college. She will pick up 16 credits! I just know I am going to miss her alot!She is going to come home for a few days, before her summer classes start. Anyone else have a college student taking classes over the summer?

i am taking 4,,but i live at home and commute to my university, but ill be taking them at the county colleges near me..It will be cheaper for me...Its going to be a long summer, but i have to take them so i can graduate next may since i student teach starting in january

That is great for her! I did the same thing and was able to graduate from college in 3 years. I took 5 hours (2 classes) in the 3 week May term & then 4 classes for 12 credits during the 8 week summer term. It was SO much cheaper to take a full semester load during the summer than the regular semesters! Good luck to her!

Good for her! Taking summer classes is a great way to pick up those extra credits when you don't have tons of distractions, and living on campus over the summer is a great experience, from what my friends have told me

When I was in college I stayed at school (NJ) for a summer - to work and hang out with my friends LOL! It was the summer after freshman year. My parents missed me so much the next summer they made me come home. I begged to stay in NJ but they wouldn't hear of it. I ended up taking 4 classes at UConn that summer - and I met my DH And I graduated a semester early! Your daughter sounds like she's really motivated!
