DD lost her job...... need advice

If your daughter is a good waitress then let her find a job at a better restaurant. 10% in tips is lousy!

I would tell the manager that I was disappointed in his managerial skills if he would take other people's word without discussing it with me first. She's lost the job anyway what does she have to lose.

I'm sorry to hear that your daughter lost her job but if this is the way the owner is going to do business, does she really want to work there?

I hope she finds a better job very soon. When one door closes another one opens--perhaps this is a blessing.

I am so sorry your daughter is being treated like this--how infuriating! However, I agree with those who've said that your daughter is better off working somewhere where the boss is not so weak-minded as this one seems to be (if indeed he is firing your daughter because of gossip!).

You are being a very good support to your daughter. I think you can really help her by reminding her that this job loss is just a minor bump in the grand scheme of things (even though it seems like a very big deal right now). She'll have plenty of opportunities to prove herself elsewhere, where she is treated with respect. :)
