What in the world am I going to do with DD 4 1/2 who ONLY likes the 'face" characters? Whe has expresses some interest in goijng to the CP for the Pooh meal, but I am a little unsure. She freaks when we have our local parade, so I am really not sure if she will handle those "big guys in suits" well! Anybody else have this problem????

My younger son on our last trip (he was 17 months at the time) didn't want to get too close to the characters. He did fine as long as he wasn't close to them. He enjoyed seeing his big brother (who was 3.5) meet the characters and get his pic taken with them though. :) We didn't do any character meals last time.

So I would just stay away from the characters, let her see them from a distance and enjoy them that way. There's no rule that says you must do the meet and greets, and the character dining! :)

Try a princess breakfast if you haven't already (Epcot or MK castle), the characters are all face characters. They can be difficult to snag a PS for, though. The Cinderella dinner at the GF has giant mice present, I think, so stick to the breakfasts.

Thanks! DD has just decided out of the blue that now she wants to have dinner with Piglet and Eeyore! I went ahead and booked CP for dinner. We'll see how it goes.

Try having her make a picture for each character. Make a big deal about who each one is for and build up how she can give them her pictures herself. The characters act it up when they get artwork. Also, there are a couple of Disney sing-a-longs that show the actual characters- not cartoon style. These helped my DD.
