I just got a call from DD at day care. She lost her first tooth today! She is so excited she can barely speak! She said she thought it went down her throat, but they found it on the floor.

The tooth fairy is going to give her $5. Does anyone have a link to a cute little tooth fairy letter I can print out and put under her pillow?

My little girl is getting big! :guilty:

Five dollars! That cheap you-know-what only gives my kids half a buck! And doesn't leave notes!

DD6 has lost 2 teeth in the past couple of weeks, one at the hotel while eating breakfast before our first day at WDW! Thank goodness, the screaming, crying, and bleeding only lasted a few minutes, and we all had a great day.

My SIL's tooth fairy gave her kids $20 for the first tooth. :earseek: I have been looking for notes, but they want $6 for them - so I think it won't be happening!

I was sad I missed her first tooth falling out, but if it was accompanied by the screaming, crying and bleeding to which you refer, I think it's better to not have been there. :teeth:

For my dd's first the tooth fairy left $5 and a note too. (I made the note myself) The note congratulated her on losing her first tooth and told her to keep the others healthy by brushing daily. I made it clear to my dd to not expect $5 for all the others, that she only got that much because it was her first.

Not so bad; she's a drama queen. ;)

The second one (of this most recent round) was worse - she sneezed, the tooth flew out, and hit me in the cheek. :3dglasses

We'd been waiting forever for those two to come out; the new teeth were coming in already, and they were literally hanging on.

When my DS(9) lost his first tooth, we were in Walmart and he was eating a chicken strip - I looked at him and I saw blood and thought OH NO, sure enough I looked for that tooth all over the floor at Walmart - I think he swallowed it - he was so upset, thought the tooth fairy wouldn't know that he lost his first tooth - I assured him over and over that the tooth fairy would know - we put a note under his pillow about what happened - he got $5.00 for that first tooth. :wizard:

So cute. She must feel like such a big girl now. Congrats!

My DS5 has his first loose one but it's still awhile away. TF gives $5 for first tooth and $1 for each after that. No letter though.

Build a Bear sells cute "tooth fairy" pillows for the kiddies to tuck their tooth into. If I remember correctly, they are $2.50. Of course I found them AFTER ds lost his first tooth (which was just a couple of months ago and he is almost seven). That first tooth got him $10 from the tooth fairy ;)

What a lucky girl. For my first tooth I believe I got about 3$ in change but it was money and I felt so special. I after got 1$-.50 then when I had figured out the TF secret I got a jamba juice.

My daughter is 6 and her teeth are firm in her gums.... no chance of a loose tooth anytime soon! Isn't that odd?

Not really. I didn't lose my first tooth until 2nd grade. DS is 7 and just has his first loose one. I am hoping that it stays in place until we are on the ship so that Tink can make a special visit for his first tooth to fall out. :)
