Please don't give me the bad mom award. I've already given it to myself. Anyway, my DD2 found a sippy cup from a few days ago (no I don't normally leave these around, don't know what happened) and started drinking the milk before I realized what was happening. She drank maybe five or six sips I would guess. I smelled it and it smells awful. I can't believe she was able to drink it. Does anyone have any experience with this? TIA

I'm thinking she'll be ok if it was just a few sips. Maybe an upset tummy at the very most. My oldest DD had the same thing when she was even younger, only it was in a bottle. (bought milk at a convenience store and poured it into the bottle, she would take a few sips and cry, I finally decided to check the milk and it was spoiled. She was fine and she was probably was just a little over a year old. (and yes, I felt like the worst mommy in the world)

I have also found my share of sippy cups containing spoiled milk. I *think* my dd drank some once and she was vomitting all night long......at least I think it was the milk.....after her stomach was empty she felt alot better.

Hope she feels okay!!!

I won't call you a bad Mom if you won't call me one when I tell you my 2 year old found a chicken nugget under the couch ( I have NO idea :confused3 ) and ate it. :scared1: I cannot remember the last time we had chicken nuggets. :sad2: She was fine, I think I did more damage screaming "Spit it out! Spit it out!" than the nugget did.

I am sure she will be fine. :)

I'll let you know how it all turns out. Thanks for the info and reassurance!

This happened to me too but it was way longer than a few days old - oh my I felt terrible but nothing happened...phew.

I called a few friends and we all figured out it would be an upset stomach if anything and also thought about all the kids who have probably done it over the years!

She will be fine.

To make you feel better......................My DH fed DS#1 who was about 4 months old at the time, a bottle of formula (already made up in bottle form)that was about 2 weeks old once. Don't ask me why there was a bottle of formula was still in the fridge after two weeks when they say use within 48 hours, that's a whole nother story..........I was hysterical, called the doctor who said he might throw it all back up within an hour or two but would be just fine. Never did throw up and seems to be fine today 6 years later.

She'll be fine!

She'll be fine. My oldest dd drank an entire bottle of spoiled milk when she was 11months old and never took a bottle again. I was tempted to try it with the other two to wean them as well, but chickened out. ;)

Yeah, she'll be fine. Our son was about 18 mo. when he took a sip from a carton of milk at a local fast food establishment. He made a terrible face, and since we thought he was just being picky, we made him take another sip! The milk, it turns out, was so spoiled it was almost solid. Thankfully he didn't reacet to the milk, but we still laugh about it 5 years later.

She'll most likely just get an upset tummy. I drank spoiled milk when I was pg (that'll teach me not to check expiration dates) and I threw up. Felt fine after that. ;)

OP here. She was fine and never got sick. Thanks for all the votes of confidence and reassurance everyone!
