I just found out about this hotel and it sounds like it might be just what I need. DS who will be 14 then and I are going Springbreak 2004 and want to stay 7 nights. From what I read the transportation to the parks is comparable to that of the Disney resorts. Is this true? Also, any good sites where I can see pictures of the hotel? Also, last one, does anyone know what the rates have been in the past in March? Thanks a bunch.

Is it the Holiday Inn with the kidsuites? I've cked out their website and they are very affordable.

Its the courtyard by marriott that used to be the original howard johnson's. (next to royal plaza). This is located in downtown disney resort hotel plaza. Holiday inn just bought it.

MKy princess:

We stayed at this hotel several times when it was Ctyd by Marriott. Bus service is on charter busses, so a little nicer than the disney ones, specifically, more seats! BUT :
- busses serve ALL the DtD resorts, so can be very crowded at times.
- have to walk to space 26 in the parking lot to catch the bus (farther walk than where the disney resort busses drop off/pick up)
- runs 2x per hour at designated times-- this can be good or bad- good if you're there about 10 minutes before the scheduled time, but bad if you're there 5 min after bc that means a long wait. Also means having to ask driver and keep track of bus times. AND, at the end of the day, it means waiting in line if you get there and one bus fills up, you wait the full cycle for the second bus, where Disney would jsut route more busses to pick up for their resorts.

Hope that last one made sense. All in all, we liked this hotel when it was Ctyd. It does have a disney ticket desk and shop in the lobby. Also offers send-your-packages-back-to-the-room service. We were able to do early entry when we stayed here, but I've heard that the official rule is DtD resorts are NOT included in EE except for the Hilton.

We paid the $20 promotional rate a couple times, and $69 once I think. I would not pay $100 to stay here. I would only stay here if the rate were less than the Value disney resorts.

HTH!
