DD Graduates-proud mama brag!!

After 3 states and 3 different high schools Alyssa graduated in the top 10% of her graduating class last night! She started in North Carolina at Rosewood High School in Goldsboro, moved her Junior year to Minot North Dakota, and moved her Senior year to Decatur TX.

She was a cheerleader at Rosewood and Minot. She was in theater at Decatur and spent almost every day after school busy with one school activity or another. She did all those activities and still graduated with a 4.2 GPA and is heading off to the University of Texas in the fall

I am so proud of her...I was doing great until she was about ready to go up on the stage to get her diploma then the tears came. I was so mad too because I wanted to yell...GO ALYSSA!! and I couldn't....

She is an amazing girl who is not only beautiful and smart, but also has a heart of gold!!

Just wait till she leaves for college,
then you really will see the tears flowing.

Her hard work and dedication will bring her much success as she begin this new chapter at the Univ of Texas. I love her colorful honor ribbons and medal ~ is that by chance the Presidential Academic Fitness Award???

The medals are for UIL theater stuff. (Don't ask me what UIL stands for because we just moved to Texas and I don't know what it means) They won at Area, and Regional for their One Act Play so that's what the medals are for.

She also got theater cords, honor cords and the red cord was for donating blood....

Seriously she is a busy child and I haven't seen her in a year!!

OK, so one year we should plan to hit MNSSHP together, and she can be Jasmine, and he'll be Aladdin!
