DD drum major tryouts

Wanted to thank everyone for the pixie dust when tryouts started last month. Finals were yesterday and my DD is Jr. Drum Major for next year's marching season!!! She was so cool about it when she came in yesterday - she walked through the door and asked if we were going anywhere tonite or tomorrow and when I asked why, she said we have to go get my dress for the marching program! She had been helping the Sr drum major look for an outfit and they had taken the director out and he OK'd it so off we went, picked up her dress and then I took her out for dinner. Once again thanks for the pixie dust!!

Congratulations to your DD. She will have so much fun, and it looks good on her transcript.

If she has the opportunity to go to George Parks's Drum Major Academy, she should go. It is great!!

DD was Drum Major this year and will probably be next year too.

Congratulations to you all! You must be so proud. My son is just starting the Drum Major tryouts and though he knows his chances are slim(he's a freshman and DMs are almost always seniors) he's having a great time. Can't wait until marching season.

That is so cool!!! Congrats to your DD!!!! I did the conducting in high school for my marching band (we were called field commanders) and it was such an honor to be picked as one of those or a drum major. I am sure she will have a blast!
