Hi Everyone,

Here's the deal. This will be our first trip to WDW we will be going for 7days/6nights and booked the DYW deal with Dinning (Joining me is DW, DD 2 1/2) Since i booked with a travel agent they will help me make reservations and all. Well since this is our first trip I wanted to book atleast 4-5 character Breakfest or Dining. Any recommendations would be awesome on which are the best for my DD and since ill be using the Dining plan which require 2 TS or 1 TS credits.

Currently I'm looking at:

- Good Morning Character Breakfest

- Donald's Safari Breakfest at AK

- Princess Storybook Dining at Epcot

- Dreams come True Dinner with Cinderella's Royal Table at MK

and last

- Crystal Palace Buffet Breakfest at MK

Cant find info on which charge 2 TS or 1 TS unless they all charge 2?

Also which are great or which should I avoid.

Any help would be great or idea's ... I do have Hopper tickets so anywhere is great and we will be there for 7 days so I can add more if needed :cool1:

Cinderellas Royal Table is the only character meal that charges 2 credits per person.

All the others you have down look like fun to me!! Since your DD is so little, she may really enjoy the Crystal Palace with Pooh and the gang. Also, Hollywood and Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios has a character meal with JoJo and Goliath and all those critters...your little one may recognize those characters and have a lot of fun with that!

There are also character meals at Liberty Tree Tavern in MK with MIckey and Minnie and Goofy...maybe more and they are all in colonial gear, Garden Grill at Epcot has a Mickey and Chip and Dale...and some others I think, in "Farmer duds"...pretty cute. We didn't love the food at Garden Grill, but it was okay. Ohana has a Lilo and Stitch breakfast at the Polynesian resort that is really fun...Mickey and Minnie are there as well...Chef Mickey's has EVERYBODY, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Pluto...this is my step kids favorite character meal.

We are signed up for 1900 Park Fare's Happily Ever After meal with Lady Tremaine and the Stepsisters...I've heard that's a fun one!!

I hope I've been more helpful than confusing!!

have a wonderful trip!!!:goodvibes

Wow great thanks for the help about the TS Credits no wonder i couldnt find any info except for the one that required the 2 TS Credits glad to know ill be able to do even 6 if i choose too.

You even gave me some great help with the additional Character Dining/Breakfeset i hadnt heard off/or even considered...

thanks

If you are looking for character meals, you may want to change CRT to breakfast or lunch. Dinner does not have princesses circulating in the dining room signing autographs.

Also, you mentioned the good morning character breakfast. I am pretty sure that is only for Grand Gatherings. Are you traveling with a larger group or is it just the three of you? If it is just the three of you, I would make an ADR for Chef Mickeys or Hollywood and Vine based on your daughter's age.

We took our 2 1/2 year old dd last September and for character meals we did Liberty Tree Tavern, Cyrstal Palace, Chef Mickey's and Princess Storybook Dining. She especially loved the Princess dinner because she loves Princesses. She had a lot of fun at Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys becuase they were loud. The character interaction was great at Liberty Tree Tavern.

Will also check up on Hollywood and Vine havnt seen/read anything about this.

Awesome to see exactly what you did try with your DD and happy that they can be as loud as they like since my daughter is very shy but when the area is louder she allows herself to be more open, gets louder and even interacts with kids alot more... exactly what i wanted for her. Get her out of her shell :lovestruc

I think you misunderstood. Only the Good Morning character breakfast is for Grand Gatherings. THe rest are not and you will be able to do them!

I have not been, but I have heard that Chef Mickey's is a favorite for many kids! (We are going in May!)

Good luck and have fun!

Here are the character meals we're doing:

Chef Mickey's dinner at the Contemporary. They also offer a breakfast, but we're going in August. I would prefer a nice table service dinner when it's hotter out. Besides, they have an ice cream sundae bar that my kids will love. The characters are Mickey, Minnie and the rest of the crew.

Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian. (Both resorts are an easy reach from the Magic Kingdom via the monorail.) Buffet dinner with Cinderella and the stepsisters. The Stepsisters are supposed to be a riot!

On a non-character note, consider the Coral Reef in Epcot. It's a restaurant in the middle of an aquarium-- you can see right into the bottom of the tank as you eat. I bet your daughter is mesmerized!

slightly off topic: I started this thread for other first timers: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1715551

I can recommend the Princess Storybook breakfast in Norway. The princesses will come around to every table and chat with you and pose for pictures. Your DD will love it.
