My 18 y.o. princess:. DD interviewed last Thursday afternoon for CP...today is Monday and she received an email stating that her status is pending. We did not expect a result so quickly. Is this a good or bad sign? Her college room assignment is due 3/31 and she is pending with DCP through like 4/17. She did list many areas of interest on her application and felt her interview went well and now she doesnt know what to think??? Who else was pended and did you eventually get acceptance or denial?? How long did you wait with the pending status??

Here is a thread that goes into detail about pending. As far as I can tell, it's neither good nor bad. I haven't seen anyone be accepted/rejected after being pended for the fall (or fall advantage) yet, but that's probably because it's still early in the application process. There is still hope :)

I interviewed last Wednesday and still haven't heard anything back. It's making me nervous now that people who have interviewed after me have heard something, but I'll just keep waiting!

Good luck to your daughter! Hope she gets accepted! :)

Thanks PirateSnowmen...the link was very helpful! Keeping fingers crossed for you both!

I've heard about one or two pending acceptances and several declines. I'm in the same boat as your daughter, bannister. The only good thing is we may not necessarily be waiting until April to hear back, but it is likely. Best of luck to her! :wave2:

Daughter called from school last night. She was accepted! Beyond excited for her. Her role is qs food and beverage. Fingers crossed she gets assigned to a park. She had listed attractions and char attendant as top choices in hopes to get in a park to work, but after a month pending she is just thrilled for the opportunity. I couldnt sleep last night as my mind just started mommy worrying.

Welcome to the Mommy worrying club! My DD19 was accepted for Attractions within a few days of her interview, so I have been worrying longer than you! Read the last ten or so pages of the CP parent thread; you'll feel better! My DD is an only child and lives on campus at a University that is five minutes away from home... so you know I am sweating it, too. There isn't a better, safer place for her to spread her wings and fly than Disney World, so I am taking a deep breath and letting it go!

Congrats to your DD for getting accepted to the CP! Even if she is QSFB in a resort rather than a park, she will have fun. Two weeks ago, I went to the food court at ASMu around 3pm. You'd think it'd be slow and boring, right? NOPE! The QSFB CP CMs were in the middle of the food service area, line dancing with a bunch of kids! They were all having a blast, and I am sure your DD will, too!

It's funny you mention the dancing, because I was going to respond about how awesome working in a resort was, and I actually worked at All Star Music in the food court and LOVED our dance parties! (So much that one of my managers took pictures of my last one for me!)

Working at a resort has tons of benefits, like a less crowded bus (relatively speaking--a monorail resort will still use the busy A bus), easy opportunities to pick up shifts, and it's super easy to enjoy the parks on a day you still have to work, amongst other things. And you get 20% off at QS restaurants at a resort (I used this all the time when I didn't pack and our Aramark area backstage was closed). Pretty awesome! :)

I'm definitely hoping for a park this time around because I'd love to see what it's like to work in one, but I loved being at a resort so much I didn't specifically request a park in my interview :)
