DCL Transportation for offsite hotels?

We are staying at DS Drury for our Disney World trip and will go on to our Fantasy cruise from there. We are considering ways to get to Port Canaveral. I would prefer to use DCL Transport to the port for 1) arrival guarantee in case there is any unforeseen obstacles in getting there, and 2) we want to continue our "Disney bubble".

I called DCL and they said it is possible to still arrange for DCL bus transport if we could meet at one of their hotels. In our case the closest would be Saratoga Springs. Has anyone attempted this? Or is it even worth the hassle in treking over to the Disney hotel? We are also looking at private transport as our other option.

Would it be worth the hassle to you? You used the word hassle - I’m thinking no.

I’d pick a private transfer option if you aren’t doing rental car.

Yes it would definitely be more of an effort for our family of 5. Just wonderiing if anyone's considered or even done something like that. Thanks, and we most likely would lean toward going with a private car service. Gearfusion has some great reviews on this site and we would love rec's from others regarding WDW to the port.

I definitely would not pay for transportation to another hotel, just to pay for transportation to the port.
There are plenty of reputable private transportation companies that will get you there, and get you there faster.
An added bonus is YOU choose exactly what time to get picked up, and it’s just your family.
