I know this has been asked but I can't remember the answer. We are taking the DCL bus from the Hyatt. When I checked in, I was not given the opportunity to select a PAT but my port arrival form says arrival time 10:30-10:45 and Boarding Group 5. Does that mean anything? We are early risers so I anticipate we will be on one of the first buses from MCO. Thanks!

So funny - I was literally coming to ask this EXACT same question. We also have a PAT of 10:30, are staying at the Hyatt, and I wondered what time I should board the DCL bus. I was thinking of checking in for a bus around 9:30 since we may need to wait on a bus for just a little bit and it's about a 45 minute drive. But, will wait to hear from others. Thanks for asking this!

When you get to the Hyatt, they'll give you a paper with information about the DCL transportation and they'll tell you when you should meet the DCL rep in the lobby*. In September, buses started leaving a bit after 9am. Likely, that's still the case. Luggage pickup was at about 8am, but you could also bring your luggage down to the rep in the lobby. Anyway, when you get to the port, you'll bypass the PAT checkers entirely and go through testing, security, check in, and boarding. Your boarding group doesn't matter. Disney doesn't want you idling around in the terminal.

There's probably a wait on the walkway before you get onto the ship, though. The little mini show that they perform for everyone seems to take forever!

* Assuming that you told Disney that you'll be staying at the Hyatt and that you'll be taking DCL transportation to the port. If you haven't linked the reservations, then you should do so before you go.

Thanks, this is helpful. We booked the Hyatt through Disney. Normally we do everything on our own (including private transport to the port) but we had FCC to play with so we used some of it for the Hyatt and DCL transportation.

So how do I do that? We sail on Sunday and have the DCL bus booked but I used my work discount to book the Hyatt. Do I just call DCL and sit on hold? Is there a chat option?

Yes to calling DCL and wait if you must. They will enter all your online check-in information for you--including hotel and flight info.

Yes, you have to contact Disney to get onto the Hyatt bus list and have staff handle your luggage. At least recently, the Hyatt bus isn't departing from the usual place. The chat option is sometimes available.

If you have a TA, then the TA can handle it for you, too.

Just to add to the above responses... you can always take your luggage down to the DCL Transfers area of the airport and board there. You only need to call DCL with your hotel info if you want to catch the Hyatt-specific bus that loads from the hotel lobby.
