We are using the DCL Buses for our 3 day cruise in Oct. Has anyone had problems with their luggage not making it? We land in Orlando at 11:20 am on Thurs. and assume we just go to bus. Has anyone not tagged their luggage, picked it up in Orlando and brought to bus? I know this sounds crazy.......just wondering.

I only did the 7 night once and the bags made it fine, my other cruises were the land and sea package and the luggage worked perfectly. I do know that a lot of the people forget to tag the luggage. They need to go get their bags and then bring them to the buses. They take them from the buses onto the ship so you won't need to (or be allowed to as the bags go through some sort of security). You could always not tag your bags, but you shouldn't have any problem. I haven't seen anyone on the boards ever say that their baggage didn't make the ship.

They do ask how many bags you tagged, so I bet that they are making sure that they located all of the bags.

We just returned from 3-day Wonder and our tagged bags (checked in at the airline in Minneapolis) made it just fine - but we didn't see them until almost 5:00 so I was a little nervous about having something nice to wear to Tritons!

Our flight arrived at 11:30 am so I thought we'd see them earlier. I suppose they load a big truck at the airport and drive it to the port later in the afternoon.

When we cruised on the 7-day in January we brought our luggage on the transfer bus with us and they were waiting outside our stateroom when we arrived after lunch!

Yes, the bags do go seperately on a big truck to the port.

Please do tag your bags, it makes everything go much smoother. If you do forget, the CM that you meet in the airport rotunda will have to get the baggage information (tag #'s, descriptions, etc) from you and pass that information on to the baggage CM's. They then have to try and find your bags among all of the bags going around on the luggage carousel.

Your only other choice, if you don't tag the bags, is to go to the baggage area, claim and then carry your bags to the Motor Coach area. Depending on which airline you are on, this could be on the opposite side of the airport from the DCL Motor Coach area.

However, if you do tag you bags, you can go straight to the Motor Coach area and not worry about your luggage.
