I belong to a Disney focus group and just completed a survey about DCL potentially changing over to Starbucks at paid coffee locations (Vista Cafe & Cove Cafe). This would only affect those locations. The free coffee on the pool deck, dining rooms and room service would remain the same. The offerings on the survey were pretty much the same as a Starbucks location - coffee, lattes, teas, frappuccinos, refreshers, evolution fresh, hot cocoa, etc.

I for one would like the change, but I know many would not.

I think Bob Iger is personal friends with Howard Schultz. Which would explain why they destroyed the beautiful cafe on Main Street and turned it into another miserable Starbucks. A few years before Disney engaged Starbucks, they terminated a contract with McDonald's saying they did not want other corporations running food concessions in their parks. :scratchin

I like Starbuck's hot mocha much better than what's served in the Cove or Vista, I would be happy. That's what I buy on our RCCL's cruises.

The ONLY good thing (IMO) that they offer is the black tea lemonade. The sandwiches and croissants have gone up to ridiculous prices.

Agree. The food is completely outrageous.

If I understand OP correctly though, this would just be drinks. I've never tried a specialty coffee at Cove/Vista, so I can't really comment on the comparative quality. To be honest, I actually get enough sleep on cruises, so I don't feel the need for a constant flow of caffeine like I do at home.

Yes, please!! I don't like coffee or tea. However, I do LOVE their chai tea lattes!!! the thought of being able to get one everyday on a cruise makes me giddy!

Interesting that someone who does not like coffee or tea likes Starbucks! :scared:

For me, this is a mixed bag. On one hand, I don't like Starbucks. On the other hand, this change would eliminate the temptation to spend extra for coffee on cruises.
