Has anyone heard how long it'll be between the announcement and the time that we can actually book these cruises? Also...anyone hear how they'll handle it. Standard bookings or lottery like the Maiden?

I'd hope they wouldn't do lottery style ... it's not like it's only one cruise (like the maiden voyage) ... it's going to be 3-4 months of cruises :)

They probably won't open up the bookings until after the public announcement ... I'm curious though if they'll suspend online booking for a day or two, or how they'll handle the flood of reservations ... it would be a nightmare if their computer system "hiccupped" and overbooked a cruise

No idea but that is why I have DU handling the res for me.. so i don't need to worry about it..:teeth:

Our ressie was picked by the lottery for the Maiden Cruise....we felt very lucky to have been on the Maiden Voyage of the Magic and had a great time but there were many problems.....DCL has definately gotten their sea legs since that first cruise!!!

We received a letter in the mail stating that our ressie was one of the ones picked for the Maiden Voyage!!! from many, many thousands of ressies!!!

From what I have gotten, the reservations will be open for booking on May 5. That's what DCL told me when I called them directly today.
