DCL scrapbook supplies...

I just returned from the 1/10 cruise and had the "brilliant" idea to make a scrapbook for our friends. So, I bought 2 scrapbooks (25.00 each / 12x12 postbound) and 2 scrapbooking kits (15.00 each specifically for the 12x12 albums).

Well, I can say I finished her scrapbook and am almost through with mine. But, I'm going to have a TON of supplies (papers, stickers, frames, etc.) leftover. Like an entire untouched scrapbook kit that came with the scrapbook and one of the ones that I paid $15.00 for.

Any ideas, suggestions on what to do with the leftovers I have? I thought about ebay but there are none for sale.

I can't keep them for next cruise as they say "2004" on many items and I'm afraid we won't be going again this year TIA

Does it all say 2004? I havent seen the sets yet (cruise isnt till may) but you could see how much you really would loose thats imbedded 2004-

Other suggestions- Make more scrapbooks for others like grandparent brag books, books for kids etc

Give stuff away as gifts or find people who could use it- Make it into cards and such-

Give the extras to the kiddos -- they can always use art supplies.

Though scrapbooking is my favorite hobby, I never buy "value packages" of scrapbook stuff for just the reason you mentioned. I find that I use a few items out of the package and the rest sits around until I admit that I'll never use it and I give it to the kids. I use few pre-made page accents, and I prefer to buy individual items (even though they cost more than the "value pack") because I'm not stuck with stuff.

I worked on my cruise scrapbook all weekend! 33 pages, two days, and now I am done. I have a ton of stuff left over too....I just keep it , you never know when you will need it....
