DCL scrapbook Pages??

Oh my gosh Nikki, those pages are beautiful. I love each and every one of them:love: I am already picking which ones to CASE when I do mine. I should probably go on my cruise first, but I will be taking care of that next week. Once again, great, great pages.

How did you do the digital scrapbook? I loved how you had Disney papers and fonts in it!! And in your traditional scrapbook too- where/how did you get all those letters? Cricut?

Which was easier/faster to do?

Thanks!

I do all my digital stuff in Photoshop. For the traditional one, I did that one in 2002, no such thing as a cricut back then. :sad2: I printed them on cardstock and cut them out or just printed them on the paper.

As for easier/faster, it all depends. Most digital pages took me about an hour, some took longer like the AP one because I cropped all the frames. It takes about the same for a layout traditionally but it all depends on the page, some I get done in an hour and some 2-4 hours.

Let's just say that ever since I went digital 2 years ago, I haven't touched my traditional SB's. I like the freedom it gives me ::yes::

Wow, you may have changed my mind about digital scrapping, I LOVE your pages! Did you design these yourself or are they templates (it looks like alot of time and love went into them!)

Thanks! They are my designs, although I've used existing backgrounds and embellishments and put them together. I have used quick page templates occasionally also, when I'm in a rush and I like the design - they can be just as fun and very very easy! The Puerto Vallarta page below was a quick page - I just pulled in the pictures, added the text and it was done.

Here's a few more of my pages - just because I LOVE sharing! ;)

nikkistevej LOVE your pages - they are AWESOME!

They took pics on Pirate Night in the restaurant too- see above in 1 of the layouts. I am almost positive they only took the picture in Animators. We had a pkg, but it is an 8x10 and probably $20 seperately bought, the restaurant ones were all 8x10's. They will get you to pose with your party. I am such a sucker for pictures. We went to WDW the week before the cruise, so I had 300 pics on a photopass, took about 1100 pics of my own, also bought the ride and restaurant pics. LOL Then on the 7 day, we bought the mid photo pkg and took about 1000 more pics, and 3 water cameras. Yes, my name is Nikki and I'm addicted to pictures.:rotfl: :rotfl:

That's me also - started digital about 4 years ago and haven't gone back. Mine isn't just for the freedom, it's also because I'm a better digital scrapper - it's so much more forgiving (undo is my friend)! :lmao: I'm not very artistic and traditional was difficult for me, so switching to digital allows me to be MUCH faster and I can play with things more and change my mind, I'm not worried about the cost of messing something up or laying it down crooked or whatever.

Is this the official scrapbook thread? Or is there another one? Seeing the pages makes me want to get out to my office and scrapbook! I am2 cruises behind and desparately need to get caught up before one in May!!

LOL!!!! I just asked about the cricut incase you had recently gotten into scrapbooking in the last year or so. Both albums look great. I am a traditional scrapbooker, although I have made 3 digital books using templates on either Heritage Makers or Shutterfly.

How do you digital scrapbook in Photoshop? I am a new to it and I can just do basic stuff. How do you get the printed backgrounds and embellishments on your pages? :worship: You inspire me! Keep sharing!

Wow!! THOSE PAGES ARE GREAT!! Can I steal EVERYTHING????

Did You print the Pirates Life onto the Page?? If so, what font!!

They did The Pirates Life for me one at the LSS. I really like that one, I have collected so much stuff for my Disney trips. I love scrapbooking WDW and DCL. I also went through all of my scrapbook stuff:scared1: after I got all of my prints back and matched up colors and stickers etc. I have been scrapbooking since 1995(when only thing out there was CM) so I have alot of stuff!!!

BTW- I love all of these pages posted, it gets the creative juices flowing!!! Keep 'em coming ladies!!!!:goodvibes

This is exactly why I also do digital now. It is so much easier for me.

But I still plan on doing some traditional since I have several half done albums and tons of supplies. So it's great for me to see all these wonderful pages, both traditional and digital.

I would love to try digital scrapbooking but don't know where to start. What software program do you all use? Any tips on how I could get started at a low cost?

thanks
