DCL scrapbook Pages??

I borrowed them from Flickr.... I know -- totally cheating... but I did put it in my credits. ;) I just wanted to capture the shows in a LO for DS to look back on.
that's what i have done!! My show pages are already done and we leave in 4weeks!!!:lmao:

I am positive I just ruined my cost effectiveness calculation of digital last night - But I just had to take advantage of the Scrapmatters sale to pick up all these wonderful kits! Thank you to Christy for helping me to become aware of Brittney's work!

I am a major stock holder now! :rotfl:

:lovestruc

Glad you got your goodies at ScrapMatters before the sale went off! :goodvibes

Here is my last show LO with more stolen pics! LOL! ;)

And actually -- most of the page is made with Britt's Freebie (Who Needs a Fairy Godmother), which is an add-on to her Her Royal Highness kit (which is in the store). The freebie is still available on her blog if you'd like it... you have to scroll down a bit... It's about 3/4 of the way down after all the pics of the sample LOs. http://brittishdesigns.blogspot.com/search?q=fairy+godmother

I definitely got the freebies (thanks to you), but as any very good designer has learned, the freebies only whet the appetite and it is a very big testament to her work that I went and spent money on her kits after having the freebies!

I know she frequents the other threads, but she should know that you have worked as her salesforce over here!

:thumbsup2

From the show When Mickey Dreams, it is shown on cruises that are longer then 7 days, ie 10/11 and 15 night cruises.

I just did this for a Speed Scrap at Scrapmatters,

I love your wrapped words. I am jealous of word wrapping because it is not something I can do in Lumapix - it's straight or up and down and that's it for me. I also am very jealous about being able to lasso in PS - again, not something I can do. I keep telling myself that someday I will get PS, but it would have to be a time in my life that I can dedicate a lot of time to this.

Great page :thumbsup2

I used Britt's same freebie for the following page - which of course got me out there buying her stuff!!!!

Below I used one of her Quick Pages (I bought them all) LOL - which I love! Okay, I confess I'm a bit lazy and strapped for time, so I totally love the quick pages!

BTW - thanks for the AWESOME pic idea! I really wanted to have pages on the shows in my book, but all my pictures are terrible.

I love your pages!! I have seen that cute silly princess graphic around... I want to incorporate it into a LO at some point too. I love the quick pages too.. they are so well done. I have used that mermaid one as well.... Now tell me how you got it to work in 81/2 by 11? I know it's square... did you just crop part of the page off and stretch it out? It came out perfectly!

My show pics were all awful too.. I just have a point and shoot camera... Someday I am going to educate myself and buy something nicer... I know the DISers over on the photography board have some great tips and tricks. :goodvibes

Thanks - after posting, I looked again and laughed out loud because it was so obvious the difference between my page using Britt's items and the quick page which is her LO - it would be a perfect case for Amateur... Professional... :rotfl:

I use MS Digital Image Pro and I start with a canvas of 15 x 11.5 - the reason I use that size is because I use MyPublisher.com for creating a finished printed book and that's the size of book I wanted. Then I pull in the quick page and stretch it to the canvas size, which does distort it a bit, but usually its not too noticable - for example my crab looks like he's been on the cruise eating too much as he's a bit fatter, but he still looks okay. :lmao: If it is too distorted then I size it to the canvas (without stretching) and add a border or text block for journaling or something, but it's rare I've had to do that, usually they stretch fine.

Don't you love that silly princess graphic - I was so glad we got some pics of the girls being silly also. I teased my DD that if she had stuck her tongue out a bit more she would have had Jasimine's exact silly face!

I'm the same way about the camera. Someday I'll really going to get something good and learn what I need to.

For those of you who got pictures from Flickr, could you share how. Now that we are back, I am kicking myself for not getting some of the pics I want and I didn't know there was a way to get them on Flickr. But when I search for "disney cruise twice charmed" or "disney cruise golden mickey" nothing comes up. How do I find them, then once i do, how do I get them to print. thanks!

I just kind of search around by keyword.....I don't think I put "cruise" in any of my searches.

Here are some from Twice Charmed... Scott Ableman's pictures are gorgeous....

Here are some from the Golden Mickeys:

I click on the pic, then click on "All Sizes," then click on the biggest size listed, then right click on the picture and click "save," and I save it to a file on my desktop (or wherever).... not everyone on Flickr loads pictures large enough to allow for sharing, so you just have to kind of see which ones are available in the larger sizes so that they will be good enough quality to scrap with. If you can't find a picture in one of my LOs, you can PM me, and I'd be happy to e-mail it to you. :)

THanks Disneycruiser2008 - I went right on those links and ordered some. It is great to be able to fill in the pictures I didn't take but am kicking myself for not getting now! Any other suggestions for getting photos from anyone??

you can also get the photos fron the main cruise page. all those pics can be copied. Also go to the photo main thread. Alot of the people post there websites to get pics from. Hope that helps!:goodvibes

I need inspiration help! In exchange for help I am going to violate my rule and share a layout I was working on today from our cruise in 2006. You all have inspired me so much to get going on my book for our last cruise - two years later - that I really do want to help with any inspiration I can give too. Although, because I never share, I don't exactly know how to get my photos any bigger...so I am sorry about the size. It is not intentionally small.

Florida_vacation_2006_Mickey_Pool_-_SHARE.JPG

Elements on the layout are from Britt-ish Designs various freebie kits and mermaid lagoon, Ellie Lash - what's your hang-up, Kikki standstrongforgod.com, designed by Ellie blog freebie, and Britt's Date Stamp.

So..... what I need help with is inspiration for photos of our verandah and my husband and I out on the verandah enjoying some wine.

Any help?

Very cool LO! Love how your circle photos mimic the action and direction of the slide.....

Here's a LO I did of us on our verandah... It's not really one of my faves... but I was trying to convey kind of a simple, peaceful feel.... Don't know if it will serve as much inspiration....

Verandah-Page064.jpg

You really do convey the feeling of peace and exactly what it is like! I really like it.

Thank you. I like it better than where I was headed to with this - which was why I asked for help. I never was a very dedicated paper scrapper so I have a hard time thinking in terms of layouts that are clean and well put together like your's.

Lindsey Jane Design's stamp cluster freebie and a post card from Elfie's blog (no TOU in her stuff, so that's the best I can do).
