DCL scrapbookers –

Here are some things I have found that I am planning to use to scrapbook our 11.08.03 cruise. Most of this stuff was already in my collection of stickers, etc. I have bought a few cruise-specific items. I also plan to get the DCL scrapbooking kit on board. I will also make some page titles of more specific events using Adobe Elements. It is awesome for titles, journaling, captions, etc.

MAMBI has lots of summer die cuts, frames, stickers etc. -- Tropical Kids stickers and Summer Kids (minis)
Sandylion, Tina Ledbetter -- Summer Sticker Sheet and Border Sheet
Bo Bunny, Jan Lanoy -- beach stickers, paradise stickers
Creastive Memories -- tropical and beach stickers
The Scrapbook Wizard – Paradise sticker sheet
Tie me to the moon – Summer border sticker sheet
Mrs. Groseman’s – vacation, Limited Edition Summer Vacation-April 2002, splash
Making Memories -- 7/16” chunky wave letters
Word Café – summer stickers
Autumn leaves – Underwater Adventure
Stamping Station – Caribbean #1 (has Cozumel, Caman Islands, ship, life preservers, fish)
Scrapbook Addict (Jen’s Pen) – Under the Sea (fish, choral – cool for snorkeling)
SA – Ocean Breezes (sea shore, star fish, birds, etc.)
It Takes Two – Cruisin Along (title on ship, dolphin, port hole, drinks life preservers) and Day at the Beach (palm tree, snorkeling gear, sunblock, fruit, etc.)
Sandylion has lots of licensed Disney Stickers
Paper Pizazz – Mickey Mouse Siimple Backgrounds (There are at least 6 other PP books with Disney themes)
Creative Imaginations – Renee Lindgrin – ocean borders (can’t find exact name)
Makin Memories -- die cut scrapbook frames (Got these at Dollar Tree)
Stickopotomas – dolphins, tropical, travel, seashells (I’m sure they have lots more)
Summer Vacations Scrapbook Kit by Makin Memories (got these at Dollar Tree, too. Cute background papers at a great price)
Fiskars Photo Memories Kit – Vacation
Paper Reflections vellum die cuts – tropical fish (Wal-mart)
Creataive Memories has a thank you pack with tea cups, spoons, etc. (for tea with Wendy)
Sandylion – lots of fish, tropical fruit, sea creatures, fun sun glasses

If anyone has any other really cool supplies, please list them so we can all get in on the fun!

Peace,
MK

Some of the things I used for my pages were

Paper Bliss (life jacket, boat and anchor)
Stickopotumus (Cafe sayings)
Making Memories (charm plaques)

I don't always use embellishments, so some pages don't have anything but cardstock or cardstock and patterned paper.

I still have a ship from Jolee's that I want to use (although I have to personalize it to look like the Magic.)

Paper Bliss also has a set that has a palm tree, flip flops and a drink, I think? I didn't get that one.

I made my own dive flag from red and white cardstock and then used MM tag alphabet for the title "scuba diving".

Oooh.. and I also used some flowers from the leis given out on Tropical night.

My Disney layouts.

ToDisney looked at your album and it really is great..your family is lovely..hope you all had a good time cause the Magic is my favorite place to be..marianne

Diane -- thanks for sharing your layouts. I don't use a lot of embellishments, either. I have less than three weeks to wait before I get to start taking pictures for my DIS cruise scrapbook!!!!!!

Peace,
MK

We cruised in June, the summer disappeared, and we've been so busy with football season that I haven't had much time to work on my cruise book. Only on Monday of a 7 day!

At this rate I might finish it in another year or two! Yikes!:earseek:

Here's my list of can't live withouts for scrapping Disney pics (which I do a lot of considering I am only an hour away from DW!) and which I used a whole lot of to scrap our Disney cruise this year..

I LOVE my CM circle makers for making mickey heads- so cute and so easy! And I used the 12" pattern to cut out waves shaped like the logo- you could certainly to this by hand as well.. Together they make a great page border for the bottom or top of a simple page..

The CM Mickey Magic snap pack was wonderful for our autograph album and the reg. Mickey & Friends combo pack has the cutest stickers and die cuts... I know I'm biased- but I do think CM has the best stickers.. and CM also has a great Pooh sticker combo pack- *sigh"- but as a mom of only boys - pooh is not high on their priority list.. I also like CM's cruise stickers and I used the NSD beach themed stickers for our CC pics..

HTH!

Linda,

I use CM, too, but my CM consultant went out of business -- but never fear! Today I went to a Women's Expo and there was a CM consultant set up there. I got the snap pack and the other pack, too! The stickers are adorable. Thanks for the suggestion!

Did you decorate your pages before you got the autographs? What kind of book did you use. I read a thread on this a week or so ago, but I'm still trying to decide what to do. I have two kids who will both want their own autograph books; however, I was thinking of incorporating the autographs into the big album I do for the whole family.

Peace!

Hi MK!

That's great about getting the stickers... I think they are adorable.. and now you have a CM source if/when you need one- that's great!

I used a 7x7 black CM album for the autographs and I did not predecorate the pages.. My son was only 3.5 when we went on our cruise and I didn't want it to be stressful about which ones we "had" to have (because I had predecorated pages for them).. so I liked the flexibility of just having the characters sign a blank page and then I went back and inserted refill pages or re-arranged the pages to add the decorated page with the picture on the opposite side of the autograph.. The autographs take up a whole page on the 7x7 album- the character sign their name with little embellishments of their own- so I did not add any stickers or anything to that page.. (I used the CM round tip pens for them to use to sign)... For the opposite pages with the pictures the Magic snap pack (the bigger one with the paper) has lots of great decorating ideas and I used quite a bit of them.. I just love the papers in it - don't you? Really - it makes it so easy.. I had the album completed in no time..

I know what you mean about the family album for autographs- but I have to say that my son (now 4) loves the fact that this is "his" album.. it made it pretty special.. so that might be a trade off if you have the kids share one.. We plan on adding to it on each of our trips back to WDW..

Have FUN getting those autographs!!!
:) Linda
