DCL ruined my life!

So glad to know I am not alone. And yes, my CC did moan a little when I put down the deposit for our April 2016 cruise, but with the Disney Visa, at least I know I am also earning points that I can apply to my next Disney trip. We have two camping trips to Fort Wilderness planned for the fall (which is the only reason my husband won't allow me to slip in another cruise to hold us over till April).:P

Once you sniffed the pixie dust it's hard to stop. Our first cruise was Princess (figured out we loved cruising), next was DCL (hooked for LIFE)..... We tried Carnival (HATED IT) and then Holland (mediocre) so now it's back to the best - DCL WBTA in September.

:worship::worship::worship:Mickey: I am sorry I strayed!!!

Pass the pixie dust, I need my fix.

My name is Julie and I am a Disney-holic. Please DON'T cure me!!!

DD and I were just talking about this last night. We are going to visit our out-of-state family soon and we were trying to figure out the last time we had been there to see them. She figured out it was 2009. And then she realized we went to WDW in 2010 and in 2011 we went on our first DCL cruise. And it has been at least one DCL vacation every year since. No wonder we haven't been back to see family in so long. The DCL addiction took over :rolleyes1

367 days until our Western on the Fantasy. I totally use my downtime to research and plan. I also think the Disney Cruise site is going to block me if I do one more search to make sure I've booked the right trip. I know I have, I just like to see what will come up in the results. I've put reminders in my phone for the PIF date, the excursion/cabana booking date and online check-in, etc. Now all I need is one of those those wedding planning organizer binders to help me coordinate all of the details. This is exhausting and I love it!!☺️

Totally agree with you! My first ever cruise was with DCL in October, (my husband had been on two previous cruise with other cruise lines - he says Disney is better, I have to take his word for it). So addicted now. Our next one is in less than a month and we're going the full 7 nights, and I'm already looking at dates for 2016. We're going to be annual cruisers, I think!

We used to do WDW every year anyway. Now we mix both - parks plus cruise :)

We need to stop snorting that pixie dust...

I guess the rehab program is to use different cruise lines??? Oh the agony....

Xlxo,
We did NCL (Nick cruise), my kids were miserable. It is DCL or nothing... However, I may try RCCL and Dreamworks Experience.

We love cruising with Disney. Have convinced 4 other families to come with us to our next one.

Hi,

I know how you feel. We have convinced my best friend and her family to take a cruise with DCL. The cruise that they plan to take is also a cruise we plan to take. We will get to experience DCL with them! It will also be fun because it will be their first DCL cruise so it will be fun to see the ship through their eyes!

Our DD is only 27 months old and she will be taking her 7th & 8th cruises in a couple of weeks with us. Her first cruise was just before her 1st birthday.

Safe to say that we love the Disney cruises.

Our "once in a lifetime" cruise turned into 6, soon to be 7 cruises. While our bank account does sort of shudder, it is a Disney vacation my husband will actually go on and enjoy! That makes it worthwhile since he is not a big fan of the parks.

The first step towards rehabilitation is admitting you have a problem. Let us know when you are clean. Disregard anything I've ever said here on the boards, I'm unrepentant and would make a poor sponsor.

We did just a 4-night Magic last year, and as much as I'd love another DCL cruise, DCL did something else for me.
It made me fall in love with cruising.
After that amazing trip I went on a 5-night Princess cruise with BFF. Three months later I booked a 7-night NCL for my family for next year.

DH and I took DS#1 on Wonder in 2001. It was amazing, but we didn't really look into it again until 2013 for 2014. Now that we've experienced it again as a family (of 8!) we are so eager to do it again.

I, for one, fell in love with the sea. And people to cook for me around the clock. And make my bed. Now - I do realize you can get this in hotels and restaurants, but I'm so not into that kind of travel on land. On land I like a rental house. For me cruising is just so DIFFERENT than the way I vacation on land. On land you still have to make your way from the place you sleep to the places you play, or maybe eat, etc. On a ship it's all just right there. It's just a different, awesome experience.

So DCL changed my vacation life.

I do hope we can afford another DCL sometime. But for now I am just so excited about our NCL next year.
