DCL raises minimum sailing age to 6 months

Another theory is that DCL was getting feedback from other cruise lines over the minimum age difference, the other cruise lines may have been frustrated over hearing "I can take my LO on DCL, why can't I take him on this line?" Far fetched but logical.

DD was 5 months on her first cruise and she did great.

Disney isn't going to play nice and take away a competitive advantage because the other cruise lines don't like it.

I have a 5 month old now so I agree with the pp that he would be a dream to take right now - not yet eating solid foods - content to look at people :) - however I agree it may have something to do with the recommended shot schedule too at 6 months he will have had all three doses of the first round of shots. Either way I can understand their decision.

Now it makes sense. Disney was the only cruise line who didn't have the policies like other cruise lines.
