She's still trying to load pics out of her hard drive

gossipgirl,

you have to have an internet address on a picture to get it on the DIS. You have to upload your pictures to a place on the web to post them. I use photobucket, some use webshots, some even use the DIS.

If the picture you want to post is already online-right click on the photo, copy the properties, start a reply on the thread, enter the image properties like you did the last one. That last part I believe you did correctly~

ok, though I'm guessing you're frustrated and wanting to pretty much give up on the whole thing, I'm posting this to try to help if I can. I'm guessing it's what tigger is saying, you need help getting the photos off your hard drive? if so, go to photobucket.com, and create a free account. when you're in your account, it should look something like this:

if you want to upload a picture, click browse under the "upload" window and then find the picture that you want that's on your computer already:

The picture I'm picking is on the bottom, it's the one that's highlighted, of the ships at the port. click open, and then click "upload" at the bottom.

once it's uploaded, you should be able to see it on your photobucket page. click the url next to the "IMG" code, like this:

you can see the one I highlighted, it automatically copies it when you click on the url. then you go to the thread, and right-click, and select "paste". before you post your message, it should look like this:

you need the IMG brackets on either side of the URL. then post and it should show up, like this:

that's the magic and a royal caribbean ship, mariner of the seas I believe, in Nassau.

so there you go, dunno if you've given up, but maybe that'll help. if that's not what you're having troubles with, let us know. most everyone has trouble posting pictures at first, we'll get you there

you're almost there. you see you've got "http://" there twice? that'll mess up the url, and it won't work. you also need to make sure you've got the

brackets around your url. also, make sure you've highlighted the text next to "IMG code" in photobucket, like in this picture:

Your closer but you are missing part of the address. If you click on the priview button you can see if your picture is there be fore you submit it. I alway do this because most of the time it takes at least two tries to get the picture. Good luck.
