I agree. My bar bills literally had no change from that policy to the new standards. I mean who wants to drink in your cabin or go back to your cabin when the drink of the day is so good.To me, one of the biggest changes DCL ever did was not to allow you to bring on alcohol. We did many cruises back in the "good old days" when it was perfectly fine to bring on your own bottle of rum (or whatever your particular poison was...).





They even had live steel pan music at dinner... I always requested the p-l-a-p-l-a-p (I think that was it) dinner rotation order that would put DS and I in Parrot Cay for tropical night and Lumiere's for formal night. Such great memories! Thank you for reminding me. 








They also used to give a free drink to the contestants on Match Your Mate. We haven't seen that on our last few cruises.
