DCL photos of years gone by...

I can't post a photo of it, but back in my more penny-pinching days (this is an exaggeration) I carried on a not insignificant amount of mini-bottles to avoid paying for cocktails!

but, to add to the pictures... how about this old chandelier on the Wonder? Took that back in 2015.

I really miss these chandeliers. I never got to see the one on the Magic but they just felt special.

I miss the double staircase too but I can see why they removed it.

Also no photos but I totally miss the Route 66 carpet on the Wonder!

To me, one of the biggest changes DCL ever did was not to allow you to bring on alcohol. We did many cruises back in the "good old days" when it was perfectly fine to bring on your own bottle of rum (or whatever your particular poison was...).
That was the best! One time as our liquor filled carry on was going through the scanner, the security officer announced, "I wanna cruise with you people!" :P

The redo of the corresponding area on the Magic went from whimsical to yawn! In trying to be adult (I think it’s Afterhours); maybe navy and silvery gray - no distinct character. The Route 66 theming was entertaining.

The Dale Chihuly chandeliers were a highlight. We visited his museum at the base of Seattle’s Space Needle and the Bridge of Glass in Tacoma (different trips) to enjoy more of his works. I was surprised to see the lobby ceiling at the Bellagio in Vegas covered with his umbrellas; what a treat. I have heard the Clearwater / Tampa museum is similar to Seattle.

First dinner on DCL. I was so seasick I had to leave before it was over. I think they sent my cheesecake to the room with my nieces. Love the cold fruit soup. Mango? So weird thinking of it’s buffet line. I guess that was just for boarding day lunch?

I had to laugh at that. PC was my first DCL dinner too, and we had a lot of people leaving early (including my sister's family) due to some serious rocking. ;)

We sailed on the Magic out of NY in 2012. On our Port Canaveral day, dinner was the buffet in Parrot Cay too.

These aren't my pictures (as pics aren't allowed in the theater), so I can't say if they are legitimately from DCL, but they are what I found by doing a search. 2 things no longer seen on DCL are Voyage of the Ghost Ship and Hercules the Muse-ical.
