It took a few tries, but I was finally able to track my package. Mine is not scheduled to be delivered until Friday! Yikes! Nothing like cutting it close! Oh well. Thank goodness people here posted the contents. I can at least plan around them. On the bright side, my cruise ship luggage tags came today. I'm going to try and post a picture of them. Here goes:

The luggage tags are great! Where did you find them?? Probably too late to buy them anyway...

Here's my favorite frozen meatball easy appetizer to get you going: bag of frozen meatballs (all groceries have these), jar of grape jelly (12.75 oz. size), bottle of chili sauce (like you would use to make seafood cocktail sauce). Combine everything in a crock pot and heat on low until the meatballs are heated through. Serve with party picks.

It sounds a little weird, but they are delish!!!

I totally agree. They will likely be served at my house as well. I traditionally put only a cup of grape jelly. These are awesome!!!

Those are GREAT! I know you posted earlier where you got them; would you mind posting it again for those of use who are too lazy to find the other post? :flower3:

Glad to hear I am not alone in the lack of tracking. Maybe I don't need to take it personally:lmao:

thanks:hug:

I've never made these before and after reading other posters state they also like these I thought I'd try them. Not sure what or how much chili sauce to buy. Any help would be appreciated.

We are going to have a Beach Blanket buffet setting at our DCHP and I think these would add to the food we are already planning to serve.

I got them off of Ebay. I first searched the internet for cruise favors. These popped up on a lot of sights that sell wedding favors. I then went to look for them on Ebay. I went with Ebay because it was the cheapest place. They are really nice favors. They look just like the picture. Hope my guest like them.

PS - I'm making the same grape jelly and chili sauce meatballs.

Did anyone get the t-shirt? My list included a T-shirt for the host, but nothing in the box. I did receive everything else though, including the 3 posters. I also got 5 goofy pirate ears not 4. Plus my photo album has little Mickey's on them, not tinkerbells.
The photo album still has the price tag. $20!!
So that makes at least $50 in gifts, plus the goofy hats have to be at least $5-$10 each.

Wow, are there strings attached yet to this party???

I was really hoping the on board credit is something that I could use. I've already booked my 11/22/08 cruise and would rather book onboard for savings and $200 OBC.

Am I the only one who was expecting a better package and was disappointed? Was at least expecting my guests to get some kind on OBC for their future cruises.

Got my box just now! :woohoo:

The OBC says it can only be used on NEW bookings between 1/26/08 and 8/1/08. (I go on my next cruise 9/1/08...figures! :lmao: )

WIsh they would have said that. The SBC was the nice perk DH looked fwd. to. He is not much of a social person. We cruise in a month and thought we could use it then. We will rebook on the ship, wonder if we can apply it towards that...

Mine is not scheduled to arrive until the 24th, so by the time it makes it waaaaay up here, I guess you guys will have already watched your DVD 10 times. I can not wait to see what is in mine.

Shucks says my package won't be here till Friday....so much for 2 weeks before party:rotfl2:

Says my package is 16 lbs...so could be a real bummer if they don't get my package here on time or at 5:00 Saturday 1 hr before my party:eek:

I hate things like this that happen to close for comfort. With ground what if they get a flat or caught in snow and cant deliver on time. :confused3

How are the balloons...do they have DCL written on them or just reg balloons? Will get some more and have those blown up.

I'm tired...need to put one of my dogs down tomorrow/today. Will put a damper on things for the next few days but the party will help keep my mind off it some. I am not to upset about it because 3 days ago her mind snapped and she is like having Alzheimer's...she's sedated right know to keep her from paysing(sp) for hrs without resting.

She is almost 16 years old. Have another dog is over 16 and will take him in over the next month or so. He is on last legs. Wish they would just get old and one day not wake up. I hate taking them into the vet to put them down.

back to the box...wonder if each will get a different beanie and posters and such. By the way how is the sketch????

So sorry! We had to put our elderly basset hound down last year -- it's so hard, but is the kindest thing you can do. The party will be a good distraction.

on your balloon question -- they have the DCL logo on them. The sketch is cute, and I think a very unique item since it was created specially for the DCL House Party hosts. I tried to get a pic of it to post, but it was too washed-out.

Here is another variation with cranberry sauce instead of jelly, yum:

The Heinz Chili Sauce looks like this -- you will find it on the condiment aisle . with the ketchup. For the meatballs, use a 12-oz bottle:

More questions--

for those of you making the orange/mango soup, is mango puree something readily available to buy at your local walmart? Or are you having to buy mangos ($$ this time of year?) and puree them in a blender? Or is there an alternative?

And again with the Rice Krispies treats--I know the basic recipe, but the boxes at my local Wally World did not have a Mickey ears pattern. So if I'm able to find a cookie cutter to borrow, do you just stick the popsicle stick in there? And then what kind of chocolate do you use and how do you do that? Just melt it and dip and let dry?
